One Year CAA Anniversary!!

Postby AngelSakura » Mon Apr 18, 2005 5:22 pm

Today marks my first year at CAA. An unbelievable amount of life-changing stuff has happened since last April 19th. I grew out of my Dragonball Z/Piccolo obsession. Somewhere between the first and second volumes of the Trigun manga, I fell in love with Nicholas D. Wolfwood, who, although fictional, is quite possibly one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I made a lot of friends, including, but not limited to, c.t.,girl, Ingemar, Lunis, Ssjjvash, Kokoro Daisuke, Raiden no Kishi, bakura_fan, Golden_Griff, ChristianRonin, Sunako, Impact Alberto, and many others, listed in no particular order. I watched several anime and read several manga based on good things I'd heard about them here, including Tactics and Jubei-chan the Nija Girl and the Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch. I wrote a review for My Dear Marie, appeared in a comic by Impact Alberto (granted, by request), and started two RPGs, The Gunsmoke Saloon and The Great Journey to the Land of Bishounen. I'm starting to sound like "The Year in Review". XDD

I started an actually fairly good Trigun fansite, married my darling Nicholas with Yahshua as the minister (I shall be forever grateful to you), learned to speak Fangirl and Otaku (XD), developed a slight crush on Midvalley the Hornfreak (never saw that coming...), and found my clone in Lunis. XD Started the world's first PM RPG, wrote volumes of extremely stupid Trigun fanfic, learned to love J-Rock, the list goes on and on. Apparently, I'm cute, something I never knew before. I can certainly draw better now. I learned HTML and CSS at some point. My manga collection grew far beyond Dragonball Z and Cardcaptor Sakura, and I went from being paranoid about watching uncut DBZ to watching Wolf's Rain with my mom. I saw FLCL and decided it was purely awesome, and therefore it was now my favorite anime. I changed my avatar at least three times. I got three out of five of my close family members watch the Trigun anime, with an additional one in progress. I discovered scanlations. I bought three anime-related CDs, FLCL OST Volume 1: Addict, "GOOD DREAMS" by The Pillows, and the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex OST. The amount of anime I had seen went from roughly twenty to roughly eighty+. I fell in love with Steven Jay Blum's voice. ^^ I can rattle off a good deal of American voice actors.

So, in conclusion, I love you guys. Honestly. I cannot believe the level to which you have tolerated and played along with my antics. I cannot thank you enough. God truly blessed me when I found this place by accident. Thank you.
Think happy thoughts.

Thanks to all of you guys. I really love it here. ^^ Couldn't live without it. Now I get to be a "oldie"...or something. "I remember the Bishounen Contest of '04...we had to hike ten miles uphill in the spam to vote!" XD Actually, I got here right before it started and right after the Couples Contest had ended.

Wow, all that came about from one website? No doubt you will soon be getting all kinds of phone calls from CAA executives asking you to be a ‘real life testimony’ in their up coming satellite TV commercials.

Really, I’m glad that CAA and its members have had such a positive impact on you and your family. We are glad to have you as part of the family. ;)

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Wow, UC-sama. Now I can die happy. Well, you know, eventually.

<<Wow, all that came about from one website?>>
Well, somewhat. Some of it was just stuff that's happened over the past year.

<<No doubt you will soon be getting all kinds of phone calls from CAA executives asking you to be a ‘real life testimony’ in their up coming satellite TV commercials.>>
I...would...LOVE THAT!! XD
