Wow. That was impressive, bigsleep. It actually rhymed...kind of.

At any rate, I can feel this baby going towards Goof Off, so I think I'll just go away now before Azier gets mad at me.

I wouldn't worry about Azier as much as I would about OldPhilosopher. He's trying the very best he can to keep things up and running ON HIS OWN SERVER no less. And while he strikes me as the kind of guy that takes a lot to make mad, he's also probably one of those crazy killer with postman syndrome types. O.O

Oldphil moved things, and is trying to keep CAA afloat at the moment. Trust me, sigs are nothing compared to the fact that the site was totaly down a couple days. Whats more important, sigs, or the site? I am sure at some point the sigs will be back...just be patient everyone.

Uh, I have no clue as to what the heck I was saying about Azier in that previous post... I think I forgot which thread I was in...

...or something.

Azier has nothing to do with this.

Thanks for the answer, mods. I'll just settle in for a wait.

i know this is prolly gonna sound bad, but i kinda like it like this so that there's not as much for my computer to load (i gots and older comp), so doing without the sigs makes things go a lil' faster, that plus with the current situation i'm not gonna get an error message like we all used to get not so long ago, but with the combined forces of the admins and mods and other fine technologically implied folks, we have vanquished the servant of darkness known only as "the error message".......

Yeshua-Knight, I'm not 100% sure how to do it, but I'm pretty sure that even before the weird issue with CAA's servers, there was a way to turn off sigs when you view the forums. ^_^;

If I remember correctly, you go into your User CP and mess with the settings. There should be a check box that says something like "display sigs?" and just click that to off.

Wow. Maybe I'll make the default for newbies to have signatures off.

How funny would THAT be. Make sigs an opt-in kinda thing. Sorry, I have a warped sense of humor.

Yes, you do. Do you realize how many "how do I get a sig" threads there would be if you did that?

Yeah, but then you could have responses such as "please send a check for five dollars, payable to CAA..."

BOOSTER: Hey, No.1! Where's my cake?!
SNIFIT 1: Booster, Sir! There's a 70% chance the object you're standing on is a cake.
BOOSTER: What? THIS thing's a cake?

You have the power to say anything you want, so why not say something positive?

(in response to an interview question "Do you have a pet peeve having to do with this biz?")
People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

It would be a matter of who got to the thread first; could get to be quite an interesting competition.

However, the initial question of this thread has been answered. Perhaps it is time for us to move on?
