I have some very bad/sad news

Suki has been a real problem for us...she pees and poops on our carpets...she shews up our carpets costing us hundreds of dollars....and no matter how much we punish her...she still does it. So it's come down to this....
we can no longer keep her. Pray that we can find her a good home. Of course we will be selling her...not giving her away....she'll cost around $700. so please....just pray....

Yes, just be sure that you don't sell her to a breeder. That would be horrible. Really talk to the family you give her to and make sure they want her for their family pet.

Also, before you give up on Suki, have you all tried going to a dog training class? All our puppies took at least six months to be potty-trained, and we never rubbed their noses in their pee - a big no-no - and you have to adjust your household for them - just like with infants. Also, the puppy years are very rambunctious and it takes a lot of patience for the first year.

Anyway, sorry to hear you have to give up your puppy. T__T I really hope and pray she goes to the best home for her.

she's 9 months old..and we have tried everything....we've tried to train her...and that didn't work...she just wants to prove that she'sthe top dog in this house. Also...we bought her from a breeder and we have rights to breed her if we wanted to. she's from a purebred line of AKC champion pomeranians. we're gonna call the seller and ask her to find the dog a buyer because she won't obey us at all.

Its always hard to get rid of a pet. I have myself had to get rid of sevral pets, and I feel your pain. Also, I have had ulpleasant experiences with pomeranians, perhaps you should try a more mellow dog.

i understand it must be hard to lose a pet [lost my doggy from neighbors giving it "human" food, like too much chicken and lasagna O.o, etc.] then she had some kind of disease that most pets are getting from eating too much "human" food. what is funny is she died right on Mothers day sometime at 10 in the morning of last year, so i understand how it feels to loose a pet, so ill pray ^_^

personally, taking care of a dog from puppy to adult is a difficult task. yes, the first 6-9 months(sometime more) can be difficult but it is rewarding in the end. i've had 2 dogs b4. i outlived one and the other i had to leave with my relatives when i moved across the seas. its been years but i still remember my doggies. i miss them.... they were such good friends.


please think twice before getting another puppy. dogs require lots of time and attention. there are no easy fixes. having a pet is always a big responsibility.

part of it though may be the breed. pomeranians are known for the "do what i want when i want it" attitude. i would suggest staying away from most toy dogs in general (i heard shitzu are somewhat trainable compared to other small dogs) acctually i would suggest getting a medium sized dog (stay away from terriers they are as bad as the smaller dogs). the thing would be how much room do you have? can you take a dog on a walk? because a lot of dogs get like that (get bored and try to find things to amuse themselves) if they dont get enough excercise.

We have a big house....she has lots of toys....and we think it's because she just wants to be the dominant one in the family. We've had Silky Terriors and they were wonderful. ;-; I miss them. Sugar was so cute, loveable and funny, and Muffie *full name was Ragga-muffin* she loved playing outfielder in baseball...but would never bring the ball back. lol. I miss them. I had em since i was two...and two years ago we had to put em both to sleep. They were pretty old *13*. After a year we were gonna get a Yorkie pup like my mom wanted...but the price for one of them! $2000 for the cheapest purebread! X_X So....I had always wanted a pom and we tried to get one but the breader was all out of pups...luckily sh called us first when the next batch of pups came. ^_^ and Suki was the one we were going to look at....and after awhile we decided she'd be the one to get...and after we put the downpayment on her the breeder showed the pups to others and everyone wanted Suki. Well....for a bit of good news....I think my mom's planning to give Suki a third chance. So...>_< pray now that we can train her properly somehow.

*prays for Suki* I'd go with what desperado said, take her outside if she looks like she's gonna do something naughty. =/ Pomeranians are hard to train, though, but it's doable. My pom is such a sweetie but we never could train him, so he just lives outside now. >_>;

1) yes...she has this seperation anxiety with my mother...-_- my mom leaves...she howls barks..yaps...whatever you call it till she tires herself out...Sometimes she stays with me...but she prefers sleeping with my mom on my parents bed.

2)....yes....my mom is a spoiler and she started it. She gives her vegetables like carrots andbrocoli. Suki hates any sweets though like Cookies or brownies...she'll sniff at it..but refuses to eat it *good girl*

3)....when we have company we make her lie on the sofa back or carpet...and that doesn't last long anyway....

4) no...not really....I think I did once but only cause I let go accidentaly. but we don't play tug of war...we play hide and seek + chase. I throw the ball down our hallway and she goes after it and brings it back while I'm hiding somewhere and she then searches the whole house for me (or mom) until she finds me.

5) yes. she gets lots of attention from us. but we only say good girl when she's done something good *of course* and she gets really excited. we give her small treats when she goes on the pad like she's supposed to do....but no treat if she plays with and/or eats her poop. *ick*

6) yes. we like having a lap dog. -_- she's more of a lap dog with mom then with anyone else. I've gotten her on my lap occassionaly...but not too often...You see, before when she was a pup we had to keep her in my room so she was confined to sleeping with me. But once we opened the door, she never wanted to sleep with me again.

Well....we're giving her more chances. We've called an intensive training place to find out the price and such. My grandma said she'll chip in with the payment cause she adores Suki so much. We all love Suki. We just wish we could drill some things into her head about how things run in this house.

We had to get rid of psycho Chihuahua Cha-cha (really psycho, she was on Prozac AND Valium). But the one we have now is very good: Train Wreck. He sleeps in my parents room in the basket, although it took a while to convince him he is not allowed in the bed. He is always in my Mom's lap, but that is a breed trait. He also used the bathroom in my room a lot when I came back from college (as soon as I started unpacking my suitcase, he hiked his leg on my bed right in front of me!) but keeping my door closed fixed that. I'll pray for you.
