Space Ghost Coast to Coast

Postby ShiroiHikari » Wed Apr 13, 2005 5:25 pm

I'm one of the five people in the world that still likes this show. I was just wondering if there's anyone else here who enjoys or has even heard of Space Ghost Coast to Coast. if you've never seen it, I recommend you pick up DVD volume 3, which is the entire 1997 season. if you have seen it...get the DVD anyway. it has some of my personal favorites on it.

so...anybody else a fan? Cartoon Planet, maybe?

I remember this...vaguely. I used to stay up all night a lot when I was younger. But I don't really remember the show, more like its existance...
Think happy thoughts.

I used to be a real big fan a while ago, like back when Toonami first started airing (Moltar was the host for a while til Tom gave him the boot). But yeah, Zorak rocks your socks. My favorite is the episode where Zorak goes to find a mate....

It's unfortunate, but I haven't seen much of this. I thought what I saw of it was fairly good (I feel their reused animations are some of the best on Cartoon Network in terms of humor). My favorite part, from what little I saw, was probably the "No! Not the Clowns!" song, sung (of course) in a monotone.

I personally loved the Christmas special, although just about any of the Zorak gags worked for me.

"I was controling them..."
"You were not!"

"Give me some bubblegum!"
"Do you even know what bubblegum is?"
"No... but I want some!"

This is easily one of my favorite cartoons. One of my favorite scenes is between Space Ghost and Adam West (TVs live-action Batman) BTW Zorak is dressed up like Robin and calls himself Batmantis

Spaceghost: I have a Batmantis.

Adam West: I have a Robin.

Spaceghost: I have a Batmantis.

Adam West: I have a Robin.

Spaceghost: You sir, have nothing. Your show's been canceled. We're still on the air.

I met George Lowe, the guy who plays Space Ghost, at MegaCon. Got his autograph. He's totally out of his mind.

And yes, Space Ghost is a great show.

And his voice sounds exactly like Space Ghost's.

Volume 3 is out!? I gotta go get it!

Space Ghost: Eh, my first guest? Where's Metzenbaum?!
Moltar: Uh, he's been... detained.
Space Ghost: "Detained"?
Moltar: On the planet Rumyungyunson... son.
Space Ghost: There is no planet Rumyungyunsonson.
Moltar: Well... that's where he is.

That was a great show, but it did get old when they stopped making new episodes, and it did get kinda weird at the end.

SG: "Who's there?" *blasts curtain*
Brak:"My body's on fire................................roll credits"

Zorak *takes over SG's seat, turns on guest monitor*
Zorak: "Who are you?"
Guest: "I'm....."
Zorak: *blasts monitor* "You're gone!"
Guest: "I'm....."
Zorak: *blasts monitor* "You're gone!"

Moltar: *acts like he's sick*
SG: "Moltar what's wrong"
Moltar: "I hurled in my helmet"
