Yet another month-long goodbye

Postby Bobtheduck » Sun Apr 10, 2005 9:56 pm

I am going to be leaving CAA for a month... The reason is I will not be using the computer for a month...

I won't beat around the bush... I'm doing it to deal with an addiction to porn... I am very lonely, and I use the net to numb it, but it only works so well, and when I'm in that lonely state, being on the internet just gives me that vehicle to do what I tend to do to fix my lonely state, even though EVERY SINGLE TIME it just makes it worse... I really need to deal with this, so I am going to restrict myself from the computer... If I need to write a support letter, I'm going to either handwrite it or have a supervised use to write my letter...

So, anyhow, that's about it... I'm gonna organize my netflix queue then I'm off...

I am going to keep track of what happens with this problem... If there's anything worthy of reporting, I will on my livejournal after May 11... Well, that's about it...

Hopefully in a month, a slightly less angry Bobtheduck will be back on here... (yeah, I think they are connected) See you all then!

I hope that your time off is helpful to you in that regard. I trust that God will use it and bring you back a better person.

Hang in there, Bobtheduck. You can do it. The Lord will guide you.
K. Ayato: What happens if you press the small red button?

*Explosion goes off in the movie*

mechana2015: Does that answer your question?

K. Ayato: Perfectly.

I'll be praying for you. I've been through the same addiction before so I fully understand what you are going through... it wasn't any fun at all. The only real advice I can offer you is to continually seek God... especially throughout the most severe times of temptation. You will break through eventually. :thumb:

I second that. I am in the same battle you are. You're doing the right thing by fleeing your tempation. It may seem hard, you may feel ashamed or even angry, but NEVER give up the fight against it. If you read the scripture you can find verses that will help you. As you read 'em they'll start to stick and you can here God's voice louder and clearer, and they'll start to overcome your thoughts and actions. Good luck and I'll pray for you.
