I had to check that last site out for myself and it does look good.They had
Sailor Moon Super S from $10 to $25.

My other question is is there a site where one can get other anime merchandise such as keychains,action figures,caps,plushies etc. just as cheaply?

The best prices I've seen for anime DVDs are at http://www.bestprices.com, http://www.digitaleyes.net, and http://www.overstock.com. I also check http://www.rightstuf.com for sales, those are great. I got an awesome deal on my Limited Edition InuYasha Box Set from them. Best Buy has an unbeatable $19.99 each price for Nausicaa, Porco Rosso and The Cat Retruns, but I don't think most of the rest of their prices are as impressive.

I tried Namelessknights suggestion and looked up their policy.However they have a
credit card only policy.
I did finally look up a site called Robert's Anime Store.Looks rather good.They only do anime and had some of the series that I like such as Duel! and Silent Mobius.
However the only bad thing was they didn't seem to have Duel! in separate DVD
volumes but just in one box set.
The good news is that they take checks as well as credit cards.

I would not reccomend looking on ebay unless you can tell the difference between the real stuff and bootlegs. That goes for everything DVD's, posters, keychains alot of it is bootleg stuff on ebay. I've had alot of success with http://www.bestprices.com, http://www.overstock.com, and http://www.bestbuy.com

I used to buy from them but... I've had a few bad experiences with them, so now I shop elsewhere. The most recent one was when I attempted to but the Dragonball Tournament Saga Set..... when it was taking way too long for it to ship, I checked and found out that they had listed it as being a month away from release although it was actually released WAY back in 2003. Tech support was no help, as they wouldn't correct the problem or look into it. So I had to cancel and order it elsewhere. (http://www.dvdpacific.com) It was in my hands 2 days later. Other times it's taken forever to get my stuff. I have seriously thought my stuff had gotten lost in the mail.

Are fansubs worth the price?

Not generally, especially if you have to pay for them. They're pretty low in quality and poor in translation.

Fansubs... err it really depends. I know that you can download most fansubs for free. But if you're talking about fansub dvd's, I'll have to agree w/ Rogie_san, most fansub dvd's tend to have horrible translations and are usually off-cue (lagging).

Yeah, I was talking about the DVDs. I've never downloaded a fansub, and I don't really plan on it, either.

And since I forgot to actually mention my pick for where to shop for anime DVDs, I would recommend Digital Eyes (with its substore, Anime One Stop) or Right Stuf. Digital Eyes tends to be cheaper overall, but Right Stuf tends to have some really good deals every now and then, especially when you check out their Weekly Specials.

I only download fansubs for anime not yet licensed here (I saw all of FMA via fansub, as well as Howl's Moving Castle), and ones that companies like 4Kids get that butcher it and don't even release the Japanese version (Pokemon, Tokyo Mew Mew, One Piece). However, it's certainly not for nothing. I will certainly buy Howl when it comes out, and I also certainly want to own all of FMA. And when I move to Japan and get an all region DVD player, I'll buy the One Piece and Tokyo Mew Mew DVDs, as well as the Pokemon films. Until then, thank God for RandomMasters.com sending me a DVD rip of my #1 favorite movie of all time (Pocket Monsters: Mewtwo Strikes Back (trust me, it blows the doors off the dub)).

I've pretty much decided to move from using BestPrices.com. I've become somewhat dissatified with their backorder of titles. In fact, lately on average I haven't been receiving my orders until 2 to 4 weeks after the title has hit the street. I'm still waiting for some that came out the first of March.

I've decided to go with Rightstuf.com. I ran a comparison of the two with an order I will be placing next week. While it appears BestPrices has lower prices, shipping tends to take a big bite. Currently, if you order over $49.00 you get free shipping with Rightstuf. When I added it all up I actually came out a few dollars cheaper with them. Plus if you join a member program you get an additional 10% off your order.

From what I have read they seem to be pretty good about getting their products out fairly close to the realease date.

I usually go to discountanimedvd.com to get my Anime, no bootlegging and some good prices, depending on what you get and compared to other prices at other places. I've done enough downloading Fansubbed InuYasha Episodes to have More InuYasha that won'tbe showing for at least two years here in the US. ure, transferring them to DVD was almost as fun, cost me at least $60-$70, but at least my InuYasha collection is more complete then some peoples,lol.
