Yes, I doodle all the time in my history class! My teacher evil eyes me the entire time. I just smile back. He's never complained, though. I think he's figured out that I have a short attention span with things I'm not really interested in.
I had a parent-teacher conference with my algebra 2 teacher last semester. She told me I "could" stay...apparently that was teacher language for, "you stay or I fail you." However, it got translated as, " run for your life." So when the bell rang, I was gone. My parents were kind of mad about that. She actually told them that I had been laughing the whole day. The story behind that being that it was PJ day and she had decided to sport PJ's with little kisses and tubes of lipstick on them and of course, a t-shirt that said, "Victoria's Secret." If I hadn't been laughing, I would have been crying. Granted, I probably could have been more tactful about it...but come now.
Overall, I despise PT conferences because teachers don't seem to focus on how well the child is doing or what they could be doing to help, it's all judged by how much they like them. The entire educational system in this area annoys me anyways.
"So David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor."
2 Samuel 6: 21&22
"I am going to take this bucket of water and pour it on the flames of hell, and then I am going to use this torch to burn down the gates of paradise so that people will not love God for want of heaven or fear of hell, but because He is God."
