Well um....I'd say we'll miss ya Shiroi but since you're not really leaving that wouldn't make sense. I'll just say we'll miss your awesome moderating there that sounds good.

By this time I am sure everyone has realised that Shiro has stepped down from her mod post here at CAA. She did not leave on bad terms...so I would hate to think anyone would rumor or anything otherwise. I consider her a friend outside of CAA.
Its hard somtimes to balance business and work...and CAA really is work somtimes. Some might not think it, because after all...its not like were working a full time job. But there are some facts...there is no pay to this. Nobody was brought in on staff expecting to cut a paycheck each week. It is not always a fun job...there are times when I love working here at CAA. Then, there are times when I wonder what I got myself into. I firmly belive that if you take a job, even as basic and small as an online forum....you should be called to do it. Shiro was called to this job, and she served her duty. I enjoyed having her on staff, and I was disapointed that she had decided it was time to move on. But like everything in life, nothing stays the same forever. Things are always changing. So wherever life takes you Shiro, I pray the Lord leads and guides you. Thank you for your work, your time, and your heart for this site. I hope everyone takes a moment, and either via email, PM, or posting here...thanks Shiro for her work and time spent on CAA. In closing, I have a few parting words of wisdom for you Shiro. It goes somthing like this.

I could not have said it any better, and I mean that. Hawkeye, I will always value deeply all the time and effort you poured into this site, even if I didn't always say thank you loudly enough. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the things you did not only here as a moderator, but as a friend too. As Shatterheart so eloquently put it, being friends with all your coworkers is a tough balance to walk, but it does mean that just because you "leave the company" doesn't mean you have to leave our hearts.

Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.
Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.
But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence.
