1.What are the Exposition, Climax, rising action, falling action, Rising action, falling action, Climax, and Denoument of Romeo and Juliet in that order?

2.What are the 3 types of love in this play?

3.What is the structure of Shakespeare's play?

I am in 8th grade and my teacher thinks we should know this. I have payed attention in class but these are giving me a major headache. :hits_self :hits_self :bang: :bang: :bang:

Wow, that's hard to answer...haven't read the play in 4 years. Umm...Ok, the Exposition is like, the setting up of the play. I'd say that's the revelation of the rivalry between the two families. Just like the Denoument is the wrap up...you know, the whole "Juliet and her Romeo" thing. Now, I'm not sure about this, so don't hold me to it.
The rising actions, while i'm not sure just what they are, are the scenes where the tension mounts. Scenes with battles...the first climax could be tibalts death, when Romeo kills him. The second could be when Juliet kills herself...wow, that play's violent.
The falling action's the opposite, things cool down...
Types of love? Umm...romantic, friendship, and parental? I have no idea, really.
Structure? All I remember is that in the third act, that's where the biggest stuff happens.
Wow, I'm sure I've been absolutely no help at all. Sorry about that. I took a crack at it.
Well, hope it all works out!

Exposition-Romeo and Juliet doesn't have a straightforward exposition (introduction of the setting, characters, etc.) compared to something like "The Masque of the Red Death", but it takes place in the first act with the introduction of the characters and plot.

Rising Action-deaths of Tybalt and Mercutio

Climax-the deaths of Romeo and Juliet

Falling Action/denouement-when the Prince and the parents discover the bodies of Romeo and Juliet and put aside their differences

2. romantic, vivacious, young love; filial love (family love); friendship
