*coughmywebsitecough* But I think you already went there...
If you do get it, let me caution you: nudity, language, graphic violence. More so then the anime in the violence/nudity department. But nothing sexual, like, hardly at all. The nudity is non-sexual. *coughseemysitefordetailscough* I have to get cough medicine or something...

Yes, I have indeed surfed to your site and checked out the 'differences' section. Thanks for taking the time to put all that together!

And yeah, get some cough syrup or something. That's reeeeeally grating on my nerves. =)

I don't think Vash is a perv at all, but putting up a front like you said. There are some points coming up where he could really be a major perv, but he passes it up. I think he generally just acts clownish so that people are more comfortable around him instead of being afraid of the Humanoid Typhoon.

Well, I saw episode 6 (Lost July), and it was...interesting. It had a *lot* of innuendo, etc., which really annoyed me. How are we supposed to like Vash when...yeah. The whole stuff with the Plant Engineer gal really ticked me off, too,

And what's with Vash calling the one guy 'cute'? And then the homosexual at the beginning... Ugh, I'm really aggravated right now. I hope Trigun gets better, because this last episode was horrible.

Oh dear. Right now, we're wading through the horror that is "filler trying to be passed off as character development". I personally thought it was funny when Vash called him cute, because he was just doing his weird thing, y'know? Just stick around until episode...like, the next one. You see that Vash had a lot of opportunies that he purposely didn't take.

Wahhh, "front"' or not, he's less scary when he's blowing things up. :eh: (That laugh is totally freaky.)

BTW, the "homesexual" guy wasn't exactly homosexual, he was dead drunk. o_o

Alrighty... I still like Trigun from what I've seen so far, it's just that last ep got to me a bit.

<<The guy called himself "Super Sodom" or something like that and his lips looked all wierd.>>
But wasn't he hitting on the plant engineer? (pointless trivia ON) In the manga, the name "Supersonic Sodom" was used by a random thug in a one-shot called "Day In Day Out", where he was sitting in a saloon with his girlfriend. Vash knocked him out when he started trouble.

Another question for you: how good are the Trigun Maximum mangas? I know I have to watch the series first, but I was wondering if they're worth looking into later.

<<I believe AngelSakura said that the mangas are cleaner, so I'll probably want to investigate them as well.>>
In relation to the first question, I think they're really good. The way that Dark Horse translates the dialouge makes it a bit hard to follow sometimes, but it's a better translation than, say, Tokyopop. Nightow-sensei has a bit of proportion trouble (^^;;) but it doesn't get much worse than the second original Trigun volume.
As to the second question, I think "cleaner" is kind of relative. If you mean "sexually cleaner", a lot of the scenes where Vash acts like a pervert have no manga basis, such as attempting to spy on Marianne in the shower. If you mean cleaner violence-wise, no. No, the manga is much more violent. Blood, gore, the works. Language is about equal to Pioneer's dub. Nudity...if you have the first two, you've already seen the worst of it. Plant nudity is a teeny bit more detailed than the anime, probably because the plants look more human. *collaspes from talking so long*

I don't know why the girls here like Vash so much. I mean...uh...come on.

Vash (laughing...?): Ya-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! AHAHAHA! Yaa-hahaha!

I heard him laugh while I was eating something and I choked.......

C'mon, fangirls, admit it, he has a freaky laugh.

Actually... *looks around for Chris* ...I don't understand Vash fangirls. It's not the laugh...I just don't see it. I mean, he's cute, but in an "awww" way, not a "*.* he's so hot" way. Maybe it's the hair. I like him better with his hair down. I mean, I've heard him described (not by anyone here) as "sex on legs". .... Sure. Give me Legato-sama any day.

Oh come one! You gotta love the laugh! It's the funnest laugh in the history of people's laughs! Like that one time where he dodged the suction cups and let them hit Meryl and Millie, then laughed. I have to rewind it and watch it again every time I watch that part! And the part where Wolfwood flicks Vash's head, and Vash starts fake laughing. Then he and Wolfwood just keep laughing harder and harder until Vash is scream-laughing. *does her own Vashlike laugh* ... *sigh* Good times, good times.

Yeah, I see Vash as more cute and funny than hot. If I met him IRL, he would probably be one of my best friends. Not boyfriend material. Now, Knives on the other hand... Nevermind. *lol* I'm not sure someone who hates your race and wants to exterminate them all would be good boyfriend material, either. But we can always dream, right?

It seems to me that Meryl is the straightwoman of the show so far.The poor girl has to keep both Vash and Millie in line. She's kinda like Janet from Three's Company,I think I mentioned that before already.Millie's has dense as Chrissy.Ok,I promise

At least Millie is kind of stable and has a good deal of common sense, while Meryl seems to have a reeeeally big emotional swing complex. (And hey, Millie kept Meryl from shooting Vash, so Meryl isn't always keeping everyone else in line.)

Lastly, let's take a look at what Vash said about those two:

About Meryl: You have to watch out for her...she's kinda ******
About Millie: She'd be a lot more dangerous if she knew how smart she was.

Hmm...

(DISCLAIMER: If my quotes aren't perfectly accurate, I'm sorry...just don't get on my case, please? )

I shall...resist the urge to correct your quotes...GAH! No, actually, I know where he said those things about them, but I can't give you exact quotes.

Guess which episode is on tonight! That's right, episode nine, "Murder Machine"! Hooray! It's gonna be followed by..."Quick Draw", my very favorite episode!! And after that is..."Escape From Pain", the episode that ties with "Paradise" for the title of "Episode I Hate the Most"!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! No, seriously, someone should beat "Escape From Pain" with a large blunt object. I HATE HATE HATE it. And not for the reasons you're thinking of, although that doesn't help.

Actually, I just saw it for the first time a few days ago, and I didn't think it was that bad. Wolfwood was funny. I liked the chess part, and I liked how Wolfwood was so uncomfortable with pretending to be with Milly. Hehehe. XD I also liked the part where, umm,
Vash shot the kids with rubber bullets, and then Wolfwood shot him with one just for being an idiot.
Not one of my favorites, but not bad. My favorite episode is the very last one, Under the Sky so Blue. Anyone want to guess why? Come on let's all say it together: Because it has the most Knives in it. Very good! *claps*

Um...read the manga? I mean, if that was something that disappointed you, definately read the manga, since, due to the way that the anime begins to gradually diverge from the manga around episode sixteen, the last five-ish episodes are pretty much completely without manga basis. Wow, look at my long sentence...
EDIT: Finally, someone who knows how to spoiler-tag-ize!!

We all know why you hate those eps Mrs. Wolfwood. ;)

I actually like those episodes for the insight they give into Millie's character, even if they aren't based on manga. I've been slighty dissapointed with the recent volumes of the manga. They don't flow very well and feel very disjointed. I hope the story telling gets better with the next volume.
