happy Easter to one and all.
as a side note... my campus crusades group is celebrating "Jesus Appreciation Week" this week (the theory behind it is, Jesus got robbed of His holidays... Christmas got taken over by Santa, and Easter by a bunny, so He needed a holiday [or would it be holi-week?] for Him). we're wearing white ribbons, and every single person on campus got a copy of the Jesus film.

Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. This is what I heard from my pastor on Easter day. I most probably have some details messed up but I hope everyone gets the gist of it at least.
There was a pastor who was on his way to church and passed some place called Harveys (sp?) <-- some secular entertainment place? and he thought to himself. "Hey, why don't we have our Easter service there?" He tried to contact this place to request a room but didn't hear from them for weeks. Later on, he met a representative from this Harveys place in church who had been 'checking out' the church for the last few weeks. This representative agrees to let the church have their Easter sermon at their place.
The pastor was so happy and finally, lets his board knows. The board is silent (I suppose this place is known for its less-than-holy activities?)...and it took a while for the board to finally agree. Then, the pastor brings his idea to his congregation. You could hear the pin fall in the silence after the pastor announces where the Easter sermon will be held.....except for two teenagers who say, "YES!!"
On Easter day, the pastor felt discouraged and asks himself, "What have I done? Deciding to have the Easter service in this type of place?" But eventually the room starts to fill up. The church usually receives 300 ppl but this time, they had 600 ppl that day! As the pastor begins his sermon, he suddenly noticed an Easter bunny suit man enter the room and sit at the back of the room. He was furious even if he couldn't show it. "How dare they! In the end, they just wanted to mock us!" But as he continues to speak, he notices the bunny ears waving slightly at the back; the bunny man was listening and nodding?! At the end of the service, the pastor invited individuals who wish to accept Jesus and receive salvation. Guess who walked to the front first? Yup, the Easter bunny man. The head/mask thingy was removed to reveal a broken man in tears. He told them he worked at that Harveys place and had originally wanted to attend the Easter service but he wasn't allowed to due to some labor laws. He received salvation that very same day.
So the joke was even the Easter bunny needed salvation and received Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour.
Praise God! Jesus is risen indeed! XDDDDD
