Then your a bad person. *wink* Nah I kid, I kid. I love jerky. I voted for tender though. Kippered stuff rocks. I eat pretty much any jerky though. We make a lot at the house. Deer, Moose, Beef, fish, chicken, turkey...and partridge...but not in a pear tree. When I go to Soulfest during the summer I always bring a big bag of jerky...So, the best kind of jerky? The kind in my mouth..and not someone elses.

thats quite the variety. for a missions class i took my junior year, for a field trip our teacher took us to jumbojims, a food store with imported foods all over the world. he went to africa, so we sampled alot of weird food. we got to the jerky section, and i was like, hey, this wont be so bad. then i read some of what we'd eat .. alligator, ostrich, zebra jerky.. weirdness. oddly enough, alligator and zebra tasted pretty good? *shrugs*

If it's too tough its hard to bite off, but if it's too soft then I don't feel like I've really eaten beef jerky. My mind expects the stuff to at least put up a fight you know. I picked the Medium option. Maybe I'm pysco analyzing this too much... hmm : \

frozen beef jerky... sounds kinda icky if you ask me. I still side with medium, not too hard, not too soft... mmmm just right, especially if it is peppered!! yum.

Now maybe I am being too sensitive. But comments like...

Heh, and my thread about my belt advancement was in in the wrong forum here.

They set me off. Do you think by making a snide comment that you will get your point across? Your thread should have been deleted for being on the wrong board. Instead of whining about it being moved, did you think to PM Ashley and thank her for saving you the work of rewriting it? A thread on food is quite well suited for the general board, at least till a food board pops up here.

Naa, it's just a game they like playing.

Do you honostly think that the staff make a game of which threads they look and move? If so, that is quite possibly the most foolish thing I have heard all week. I am sorry...I am not trying to sound mean...but I think it is beyond innapropriate for people to take "pop shots" at the staff when they so freely enjoy the benifits of the site the staff watch over. Perhaps its been just long enough posting here that you have forgotten what most other message boards are like. In the future, with the exception of a newb posting on the general board his or her's hello thread..and moving that to welcome. I will be deleting any thread that is out of place. Its funny, people pick and pick till they get leadership mad...then complain when they take action. Comments like this, quite honostly, make me sick.

Well, since I wasn't serious at all... I don't think Volt was either.

And yes, I now know that it should've been deleted and I thank Ashley for having mercy on me.

Personally I like a good, chewy steak (NEVER rare... man I got put off rare steak when I had it at a friends house: red stuff oozed out every time I pressed a fork onto it  ). With beef jerky, if it's tender, there's no satisfaction in chewing it. It's just taste, without the battle! Then again, I remember having really hard beef jerky, and that was almost too tough to bite through. So far I haven't tried medium jerky; but I'm keeping my eyes peeled  Wouldn't mind it being so hard that it snapped apart though. Mmm... salty meaty goodnesss...
I haven't been able to find much beef jerky in NZ.

I choose the first option, I hate it when it's all dry and stiff.

I like to chew on my jerky for a long time. Get it all wet and suck all the sweet salty flavor out of it.:P

Joking or not, stuff like that can be taken seriously. If you sincerely meant it as a joke, you need to be aware that your wording was off and need to be more aware of how you communicate--especially online where there is no tone or facial expression to convey sarcasm or whatever. That's all I'll say on the matter; I think Shatterheart did a good job of posting what need to be said.
