Dances in japan?

I was wondering, do they have school or college dances for students in Japan?

yes in fact they do....my friend lives in Japan but she sez that all the dances there suck.
gone for good...

I don't think it's as regular a thing as, say, proms are in the US, though. The high school I attended in Japan didn't have dances that I was aware of...
