Jubei-Chan

Postby Mr. SmartyPants » Wed Mar 16, 2005 6:17 pm

has anyone seen Jubei-Chan? I find it one of the most hilarious anime series ever. And it also has a lot of nice action! It's about this 8th grade girl. when she wears a pink, heart-shaped eyepatch (It's called the Lovely Eye Patch) she becomes some really powerful swordsman/samurai girl XD its random and hilarious!

Yes, I have it. It's by the same director as Now and Then, Here and There, but is also completely different. I really like it, and I'm waiting for the second season to come out.

One of my faves of all time (just look at my avatar and sig!). Yes, I can't wait until Jubei-chan 2 comes out this summer, either!

It was directed by Akitaroh Daichi, who is my fave director. Another of his classic series is coming out this summer: Kodocha (high up on my can't wait list, too). Daichi has also done Fruits Basket and Animation Runner Kuromi. If you like Jubei, then you should check those out, too.

ive only seen jubei chan 2 and i absolutly loved it. the last couple episodes were crazy cool fight scenes. the series has nice fight scenes when it has them, cool music, and hilarous but not sick humor.

I am waitung with baited breath for Jubei-chan 2's release. I love the first series and it taught me an important lesson.

In the best named episode ever - "I Attached This Thing to My Head" - we learn the secret of defeating the Silent Ninja Army.

I also enjoyed this series very much. For those like me who are waiting for the sequel on region 1 the release date is June 28th, the same day that Kodocha is being released.

From hence forth, June 28 will dubbed "Daichi Day!"

I'm still waiting to see whether they're giving Jubei-chan 2 the "disc one + box" treatment before I preorder. I think they've already decided to offer an artbox with Kodocha's first disc.

I'll probably wait for the whole thing to come out on boxed set. I can be patient on occasion.

Should we plan a big celebration for Daichi Day? How about a parade with floats of all his different anime?

OOh, ooh, I love Jubei-chan! This series was so funny, it made me forgive MADHOUSE for Trigun!

<<"I Attached This Thing to My Head">>
That is indeed the best-named episode ever.
Think happy thoughts.

Well, as long as Bantaro gets his own float, then I'll be okay.

But if Fruits Basket gets in the parade, then we'll have a lot of Yuki and Kyo fangirls mobbing the place. (It was a joke! Please don't attack me, Furuba fans! I like Furuba, too!)
