Japan Here I come

I might get to go to Japan. My dad's company works with another company in Japan. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions about what I should do.

Kinda hard to make suggestions when we have no clue where you're going.

Yeah, you need to tell where you might be going so that you can get better
suggestions. My only one is if your a baseball fan then scout out the nearest
Japanese team.Ok,not having been to Japan myself that's the only thing I can
think of.

Here's a basic guide to living/visiting Japan.

that page does cover about everything on the official/legality front but theres so many more cultural things. Too many to really go into detail but one simple rule is never forget politeness, even if someone you're talking to is purposely forgetting it because you're a foreigner (something that WILL happen).
And hopefully you're not too nervous about being stared at, it'll happen every few seconds if you're walking down the street and constantly on the trains.

(that reminds me, I need to post about my little social experiment I did back in November  )

Eat some ramen. (but let it cool a little first.)
