I think what Shiroi said a few pages back bears repeating here.

First off, Cartoon Network is in it for the money. Every station is. How are they going to attract more fans? By airing more things. Which means rotational schedules. And over a year's running time is a lot for one series.

But that doesn't mean it won't be back. They will probably break out Kenshin again when their ratings dip back and they sense the fans are eager for it again. To quote Paul here, "who hungers for the things he already has?"

Secondly, all this nonsense about CN runing Naruto is garbage. CN does not dub anything; it may edit, yes, but that's because it has to by law. Bandai, 4 kids, etc.--they dub, they are to be held responsible for it. Not poor CN or Toonami. I'm with Shiroi--if it were not for Toonami, I would not be an any fan (and as a consequence none of you guys would be here XD )

Maybe you should wait until you see dubbed Naruto to judge it. I agree on the last part that it should have been on Adult Swim, but we still don't know if it will be that bad on Toonami. Everyone is all "doom and gloom" about the anime in America, and I'm so darn sick of it. Sure some dubs sucked, but 1. not all dubs are bad, and 2. it doesn't mean you have to complain about it all the time.

yeah, your right. pardon my rant. i just read about toonami picking up one piece on their site and gunning for naruto to air sometime this fall. i love most dub anime, i just get bitter when its given misjustice with bad dubs. :sniffle:

Pretend that CN doesn't exist and there will be nothing to get mad at. I sure do miss the 2 hours of Toonami on the weekdays. I saw every last episode of Dragon Balll and SD Gundam aired XD. You all complain to much. The manga is way better and drawn better.

That One Piece dub is awful... I remember when Zoro shirt is all torn up and his sin undereneath is unscathed. I get out my Shonen Jump: "Hey! He's 'sposed to be covered in blood!"

Cant believe they got rid of Kenshin! Just when I was about to get interested in watching it, they get rid of hit! Now they have stupid DBGT, they should start showing better animes, or more Full Metal, it's just like when they got rid of Bebop! They should die, spiritually of course!

Bebop had a few good runs. I think they'll bring it back every now and then, but it's good to keep things fresh, ya know? >>; Not that I really watch Cartoon Network much, but...eh.

guys, you have to consider...Kenshin has been on CN for how long now? over a year, at -least-. that's a pretty long run. CN has always had the habit of rotating shows like that. they've only got so many time slots and there's a lot of shows out there. so...I wouldn't be too harsh on them considering that they kind of poured gasoline on the anime fire in the US. if it wasn't for Sailor Moon and DBZ in the early days of Toonami, I wouldn't be an anime fan.

No, it hasn't. They took it off a while ago. Then they put it back on for a few weeks...and now it's gone...

LOL! But seriously, I absolutely hate the stupid producers of DBGT. They're like kids who like continuing things even though they're finished and have no true idea how to imitate its style. I can just imaging them saying, "We want to add some new ideas to the show so that the viewers aren't tired of the same old thing." But they changed all the good stuff that made it great and put in new and more idiotic plots! I remember a specific episode that just made me go, "What the heck?!" It was the time Omega Shenron, or whatever his name is, was fighting SSJ4 Goku, and Goku was somehow blind. What Omega Shenron do? He takes the face off a clock tower and throws it at him. What the heck?! I laughed at the stupidity and randomness of it all. It's like they're trying to be all uber cool, and just end up looking totally lame! Like the rap music at the benning and end of the show. EW! Rap music is not the DB series' style at all!

If its any reinforcement to this probability, I can remember watching CowBoy Bebop on CN at least 4 years ago. Lo and behold, it came back numerous times.

At least the voice acting and animation wasn’t that bad. I can remember times in the old Freeza saga where the artists and actors must have been on vacation... One episode would be just fine, and the next could have been drawn by my kid sister (who doesnt draw well).

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

But couldn't they at least switch RK with something new instead of something Dragonball. I honestly can't think of a single time in the past four years when they didn't have one of the Dragonball shows running.

hey, if DBGT is getting them more viewers, then that's what they're going to show. the majority always wins. DBZ is what sent Toonami rocketing to the top in the first place, after all. I'm sure if you wait long enough, RuroKen will come back. in the meantime, why don't you just rent the DVDs or something? (actually, can't you buy them at Walmart?)

or, heaven forbid, find another show to watch.

Oh they took RK off? Hm...oh well. I don't watch t.v. as it is unless it's Family Guy, The Simpsons, Fururama or football.

Toonami was what got me hooked on though with DBZ so I give them browny points for that.

Yep, its permanent.

And about how long KR has been on. It came to Cartoon Network on March 19th, 2003 , when Toonami was on weekdays. Then in the summer is when they did the move to Sat only. So, it ran from March and the last ep that they had ran at the end of Sept of 2003. After that, they started to show it reruns, but took it off. This was the first time they put it back on again since the frist run.

This is, of course, subject to debate. There are a great many fights in DB(n) that tend to cross over episode boundries...

I'm one of those strange people who actually LIKE DBGT(Ok everyone knows that
I'm also the only one who actually LIKED Flaye on GS but that's another topic altogether,'cept to show that I usually swim against the stream at times.)The reason I like DBGT is that it has some fun sci fi elements that the other series don't have. That and Pan getting cross at her juvenile grandpa Goku is always fun to watch!

While I haven't watched it a ton (so I'm not sure how severe the editing is) G4 TechTv seems to do a decent job with anime. It's usually on somewhat late; they call it anime unleashed, and from what I've seen, usually go through one or two series at a time. They were one of the first channels to play Last Exile, and I've seen some Silent Mobius on there too. Like I said, not entirely sure how reliable it is in terms of editing and such, but from what I've seen, I liked how they ran things more than CN. 'Course you have to have cable/satellite to get it...

AU is what got me into anime in the first place.Silent Mobius was the
first anime I really got hooked on that I knew was an anime. :thumb:
This season has been a bit different because of the merger with G4.
Mostly they're showing shows like Gungrave,Gad Guard,Magical Shopping
Arcade Abenobashi and R.O.D.The Tv.I have nothing against that except that they tend to run the same show over and over each month.
As a result I wish that they would combine the newer shows with the
older ones.
Of the newer ones I really enjoy Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi and
R.O.D.The Tv the most.
Getting back to AS for now.
They decided to go back to the way the line-up was before with Futurama
at 11:00 and then Samurai Champloo at 11:30 and Inuyasha at Midnight.
Though I was hoping that they wouldn't make the change until after next week when they would have concluded with FLCL.

Folks...this sort of thing is NOTHING NEW with Cartoon Network. I notice that "all anime" Saturday Nights on Adult Swim didn't last too long this time around, either. AS tried it LAST summer as well, and within 4 weeks, made a schedule change, yanking off Witch Hunter Robin 4 weeks into its second airing.

The only positive advice I have to offer is that usually stuff does get rebroadcast on CN/AS. Usually. Don't get caught up in how fair or unfair it is that they've disrupted your favorite show. This is the way they've operated for quite a while, and it's unlikely to change. You can complain directly to them, but believe me, they've lived through uproars before, and they apparently take it all in stride.

Other than that will have to hire Vash and Spike to off TPTB at AS!
