ARGH!

They took off Kenshin...:waah!:

And guess what they replaced it with? DBGT. That's right. So there's two episodes of it on Saturdays now...instead of just one...and the second replaced Kenshin. No fair! I was enjoying Kenshin sooooo much and I don't have the money for the boxset...:sniffle: (I love watching the animated version of the manga, also it's sooo funny...not anymore I guess... :shady: )
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

[Pink Floyd fan listening to Queen and hugging trees which is also known as taking care of God's creation with a pair of headphones on listening to Nightwish as loud as possible while writing a novel on a computer in the middle of a field filled with Wolves.]

with the exception of adult swim, cartoon network is the destoryer of most good anime. its probally secretly one of the four horsemen, bringing doom to all.

They did that this week?

The plan called for them to take KR next week. Plus, I think they were getting low rating from KR anyway or something.

Don't miss that series. I have all of it through the end of Kyoto on DVD (not box set) that I'm trying to get rid of...

DBGT?! UGH! I think I'm gonna be sick! Noooo!

But you know? I think Cartoon Network is the best Network for anime out there. Adult Swim anime rocks, and I like a few of the anime from Toonami (except they cut out too much). They do sometimes make really bad airing decisions, but don't you think Kids WB and Fox Family are even worse? I really think we should be more grateful that CN is at least better than the others. Should we not praise them that they're putting Trigun back in the lineup? ^o^ WOOT!!

guys, you have to consider...Kenshin has been on CN for how long now? over a year, at -least-. that's a pretty long run. CN has always had the habit of rotating shows like that. they've only got so many time slots and there's a lot of shows out there. so...I wouldn't be too harsh on them considering that they kind of poured gasoline on the anime fire in the US. if it wasn't for Sailor Moon and DBZ in the early days of Toonami, I wouldn't be an anime fan.

.. but toonami picked up the english dub trash of one piece, and toonami's getting naruto! i feel sick when i watch the dub of one piece, cause its just so awful .. that amazing series is gonna get the shaft 'cause of luffy's voic acting. the japanese voice actors made that series awesome, one piece is my second favorit anime of all time. ive heard good things about the naruto as far as rumors for voice actors when its aired later this year .. but they're gonna butcher it. no sexy no justu, so naruto beating the hokage wont make sense. so ebisu sensie wont make sense, and Jiuraya wont make as much sense either. i dont even wanna image how their gonna kill the fight scenes. oh, good luck with Haku too, CN. put Naruto on adult swim, AAAAAAGGHHH!!! :mutter: :mutter: :mutter: [/end_angry_rant]

Huh? What are you talking about? Fox is the one who took One Piece. And how can you complain about a dub that hasn't even aired yet? Maybe you should wait until you see dubbed Naruto to judge it. I agree on the last part that it should have been on Adult Swim, but we still don't know if it will be that bad on Toonami. Everyone is all "doom and gloom" about the anime in America, and I'm so darn sick of it. Sure some dubs sucked, but 1. not all dubs are bad, and 2. it doesn't mean you have to complain about it all the time.

In all technicalities, CN's not responsible for the sucky dubs. =P Bandai/4 Kids and any other anime licensing/dubbing company can take the blame for that.

Still its good that CN does show new anime series... If anyone gets TechTV (ok.. G4 now >> ) they show some good series and it is pretty much uncut... still if you are watching on TV you will hvae to deal with dubs, othewise get/rent DVDs =) I watch Cartoon Network for the funny stuff on adult swim mostly, like Robot Chicken.. supreme randomness.. As for Naruto... I know alot will be cut but I think it should bea big hit still

And that is something that I never understand with people. How they think that CN is to blame for the dubs. Its the anime licensing/dubbing company that can be the blame for that. Then again, I just blame more 4kids becuase they are the wrost doing any dubs.

Here, Here!
I probably wouldn't have even heard of FMA, CB, or any of the other good Adult Swim shows, or even checked them out! Give em a break! Besides, at least CN lets us see the characters actually drink sake and doesn't try to pretend it's something else like 4Kids did in Sanji's first appearance. They turned the wine into fruit juice. The scene doesn't work because the customer's trying to figure out the year the wine was made in. If you do that with fruit juice, that means it's gone bad! :hits_self And at least we actually get to see some of the violence!

If they were replacing RK with something new, then I wouldn't care as much. But the whole Dragon Ball thing is getting really old, the series has already made it to "the end." (Except now they have to come out with the lost episodes....) They don't need two times for DBGT when there's so much more they could put out.

I'm happy they're bringing back Trigun, because I'm getting to finally see it.

Taking off RK is a major rip off. It was getting bad ratings? Man, I'd rather see that than more Dragonball stupidity any day.

Overall, though, I'm disappointed with CN. I remember the good old days when Toonami ruled all afternoon, an hour at midnight, and weekends as well. *nostalgic sigh*

It'll come back. If not, just gather an angry mob and threaten to burn down CN headquarters. It's worked before. *shrugs*
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Nooo! Cartoon Network nearly destroyed me when they stopped playing it before. x.x Again, I am grateful for the DVDs.
And to think...replacing Kenshin with DBZ! :shake:
I wish that Cartoon Network didn't have so many senseless cartoons, like Ed, Edd, and Eddy for example. (No offense to fans of that. o.o Just an opinion.) If they didn't have those, then maybe there would be more room for dear Kenshin.

Well the problem with anime network is, you have to have digital cable to see it.

When I was at AWA, the people at AN were trying to get people to sign up to have comcast air the network in Ga. I just told them, why do I want to sign something that I will not get to see anyway. I told them, now if you get Comcast to show it just cable, then I would be all for it.

Now what I want to see is what or anything is going to change in a few years now that Cartoon Network and AS have spilt as a network.

Note: this doesn't mean they are going to have an all AS channel. But Now CN and AS are now spilt like Nick and Nick at night programing.
