As you may have guessed from the title of this thread, I am leaving.
Yes, I am leaving the country and will not be on this board again...

..for 1 week. :thumb:

I am taking a short term missions trip to Nicaragua. While there I will be helping at a christian summer camp for the kids there. Lots of these chldren lead impoverished lives, and have little chance to play arround and just be kids, so this camp will give them a much needed break from their hard lives, while at the same time introducing the bible message. We will work with the kids and also help with repairs around the camp. We may even build a new house.

Just thought I would inform you people here about my temporary absence, and also, our group would appreciate you prayers.

Farewell, for now.
Piloswine

I guess it's good that a guy with a Nightcrawler avatar would know the correct spelling.

Take care, pilloswine. Have a great trip.

One of these days, someone's going to have a heart attack righ tin the middle of reading one of these fake "I'm leaving" threads, and then y'all will be sorry.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Well, I mentioned that I would be away at a drama festival until I left on the trip, but that is now not the case.

A blizard has caused that festival to be postponed for the first time in its history. Guess when the it is rescheduled for. Yup, when I am in Nicaragua. This is unfortunate for sevral reasons. One is that I have put months of preparation into this event. Another is that I am the biggest part in the play so it will be close to imposible to recast before next Fri. The worst bit is that 2 other cast members (one of them being Olorc), sevral crew members, and the line prompter are also going to Nicaragua, or on another missions trip to New York (which is the one Olorc is going on), so they will all have to be replaced as well.

The upshot of this is that I will be online for one more day before leaving for Nicaragua.
