I was like okay! :shady:

That's when you should turn at them and say,

"YOU'RE WELCOME YOUR HIGHNESS!!" and walk away, it makes them think about what they said to you.

God shines forth. - Psalm 50:4

One of God's traits is described as beauty. Beauty does not suck. It should be the trait we desire most. Beauty does indeed come from the inside, it most certainly is not skin deep.

3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 4 Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. - 1 Peter 3:3-4

So please, no one else bash beauty on this thread. It is a trait of God and something He desires of us.

Completely agreed.

*sigh*

perhaps i should of explained.

When I first said beauty, i mean just looks, as in how someone looks is only skin deep, inside is what truely matters. NOT how they look. That ol saying: "Beauty is only skin deep" reffers to JUST a persons appearance... if that weren't the case... the saying would be like.... so weird... because a perosns insides are skin deep? That makes no sense, therefore that saying refers to a persons appearance :thumb:

You may be attracted to someone because of the way they look, but honestly, would you marry someone just because of the way they looked? Well, maybe if you live in Hollywood.

Yeah...I was just reading this magazine a few minutes ago and it was pointing out how the media and music is making women into nothing but sex toys more and more. It's disgusting. I read that and was thinking "What is UP with these people?? Are they complete blind idiots?! Women are people too, not just some "thing" for pleasure! Why can't they get that through their thick skulls?! Arg...

IMHO great personality and a sense of humor are alot more important than looks. I'd much rather know someone that's smart and funny than a girl that's attractive but doesn't have brain cell 1 in her head. It's like a friend of mine said, "When you're 80 years old, wrinkled, and nothing works anymore, you have to love spending time with each other, because that's all you'll have."

What I can't stand is girls that act stupid and dress trashy, and guys that treat girls like crap. Unfortunately that's what's cool now (Paris Hilton, rappers, etc.)

As for me, I try to be as courteous as I can, but it doesn't seem like anybody notices. :sniffle: They want some hot guy with all the moves.

I just meant that people should stop saying, "beauty sucks blah blah blah," because it IS a trait of the Almighty God after all, and nothing about God sucks. ^^

I apologize if I was one of the people that sounded like that.. Its just that I really dont appreciate all the attention. Especially the rude comments, and dis-respectful treatment. ( no offense to all boys from this site, you guys are alright) I do like the way I look (dont get me wrong) ,I mean Im not saying Im that pretty (I suppose Im average) ,but its just that sometimes its anoying when you get obnoxious comments and such, just because you look "hot" or as it ahould be said "cute" .

Back on the original issue, there was someone who mentioned that beautiful people should be grateful, because it's better than being treated badly because you're not attractive, or something to that effect. I agree, because I grew up (well, to about fifth or fourth grade) being made fun of because I was (and still am) overweight. The thing I wanted most in the world was to be pretty and thin. Now, however, I could care less. Who gives a care about what people think about you? Their opinion doesn't matter! ^^
By the way, this is speaking from the other side of the debate. I can't speak for being whistled at and that sort of thing, because, you see, I've never been there.
Think happy thoughts.

This thread is so awesome! Its great to know there are great Christian guys out there. ^^ Your future wives will be lucky.

About the girls liking bad boys even when they're being abused... I've never been in the situation (b/c I've never dated ^^) but the case may be that they're just scared. Simple as that. Personally, I'd rather be with a guy I've known for awhile that I can feel safe with. I'm lucky enough to go to a Christian school where if someone were to start making cat-calls at girls (in a manner other than joking) the girl would probably go to the office and get him on harrasment. We were talking about this sort of thing in Bible class, and our teacher told us a story about a guy who, on a dare, walked over to a table and just kissed a girl sitting there. Needless to say she was rather... offended and unhappy, so he got in lots of trouble. The girl's father was also very angry, and I thiiink he had been thinking about suing the boy's parents. I don't think that came about though. Now then, our Bible teacher asked us after this (the girls) that if something similar happened to them, if they would be hurt and report it. of course, we all said yes. He then asked us what we would do if a popular cute basketball player had done that thing as compared to like a creep nerd we didn't like (lol personally I am one of the "nerds" though our school really is to small for total alienation of groups). He asked if we would have considered it a compliment if the popular guy had done it, and lots of girls laughed nervously and said yes. Personally though, I would probably hurt any guy that just came up and kissed me in the middle of the lunchroom. Still, lots of girls would let themselves be kissed by a guy they thought was cute. I find that rather sad and a littel scary....

There are really nice guys in my class though. I statted for the wrestling team, and those guys are sooo great. They are Godly and have their priorities straight. With wrestling you become sorta like a family because you're sitting in the stands all day every weekend. You get to know all the parents really well and its a ton of fun. Its like I have a second family now ^^ Its such an encouragment to see these guys wrestle and not have bad attitudes when they lose and stuff. They're really gentlemen.

How about "You're really artificial."
