Thanks guys. For the advice and everything.

I agree I am to young to date. I dont go around flirting with boys, they approach me. I try to be polite, but its hard when i dont have any intrest in 'getting to know them.' Oh well I could use a couple of ideas from this thread.... ha ha ha.

Oh.. and I have meet some nice boys...

I mean not all of them are bad, or anything. Its just that some of them in their attempts 'to be friends' want to become friends to quickly for me ,presonally.

I meet a boy from my church three years younger from me. He was really nice, but kinda shy. He didnt have many friends so I hung out with him during youth events and such, It took an entire year until we were both actually good friends. Now we talk all the time about everything. Its awesome!

He is the only guy I have ever meet that has taken time to slowly get to know me and he is now one of my closest friends (and nothing more than a friend).

Thats the way that I think all boys should act like. Epecially Christian boys. If they want to get to know a girl better they should take time to become friends before even thinking about asking them out or whatever. It takes a while to get to know someone, you cant just expect to become friends within a couple days. It may even take more than a couple years, but if you want to be friends thats what it takes and youll have to be patient and be willing to wait. Otherwise you probably arent even ready for commiting yourself to a relationship.

I personally think boys need to understand that before they even think about having a serious relationship with any girl... but I suppose thats just my own opinion on the matter.

Guys...again READ THIS CAREFULLY!!!

My married friend Nathan told me the same thing. If you try to connect too quickly with a girl, it turns her off. Take your time, you can't force friendships or relationships. :: Jiminy Cricket slaps me::

Oh yeah...I struggle with this too still. :: sheepish grin::

Just remember it takes time and go with the flow...don't be too agressive...but don't be too slow either. Just be friends and see what happends. And find a Godly Christian man, preferably married, who can mentor you cause if you're like me, sheltered most of your life and weren't real friends with alot of girls, you need the advice they can offer.

My 2 cents.

Iagree completely. ALWAYS be friends first and find out what they're like on the inside. What their heart is like. Too many relationships end because the romantic passion is gone. If you're friends first that will take you through the periods of time when there isnt any romantic passion there at all.

I'm like you kaemerite. To me pamella anderson is not attractive. Guys, try to remember that true beauty can only be found in the heart of any girl.

Just my$0.02 :)

^o^/ Iron law of dating! *gets kicked in the head for the blatant MLR reference* ^^; But anyways, I'm ALWAYS friends first with any guy before I even remotely consider dating. =/ You're more comfortable around the person then, and you don't feel as pressured to do "couple things" before you're ready to. Personally, I tend to be a bit wary of people who jump into relationships before they get to know the person they're dating. :)

Not a bad idea.

I had two jobs, I had dishwater hands
And on the weekend in a rock and roll band
One Friday night in my hometown bar
In walked a girl who looked like a movie star
She stared at me and it was turning me on
She said she worked in a beauty salon
I heard a voice inside me say
She ain’t pretty she just looks that way

We made a date to go for a drink
I wore my jeans and she wore a mink
There was this misconception all over town
That she ate lonely guys hearts by the pound
She said take me home and there won’t be no fuss
I said “Sure, you got some change for the bus?â€

Just so you girls know, sometimes guys decide whether or not to open a conversation with a girl based on his personal perception of her attractiveness.

I wouldn't want to talk to a guy like that...really...sorry, but...it's just silly. :eyeroll: I don't want someone to talk to me just because I'm "pretty". Usually, I meet people through things having to do with common interests.

I've thought about it and, knowing how I am, I'm pretty much positive I'll end up marrying someone who's not exactly "handsome". I'm not sure why, but I think kind of...different. I don't think like most people. However, I WILL argue about bishies. But that's not real life.

No matter how many times I heard "looks don't matter" I can't help but roll my eyes. Don't get me wrong because most of the girls I've liked tend to like tend to be what many call "average." But no how many times I hear people preach the personality speech, about 90% of the time a girl will choose a guy with better looks and a bad attitude over the nice guy. Sure the relationship may not last long, but many would rather give the good looking guy the first shot at a relationship. Sure there may be exceptions concidering we are at CAA, but I'm sure that's true almost everywhere.

Plus it's always easier for someone with high esteem (because they know they look good and will never have trouble getting dates) to give advice and give that "personality" speech.

That paragraph right there...goes onto the list of the "Top 20 Most Intelligent Things I've Ever Heard"

You are SO right, Kura. I know from experience. You can't last forever off of passion or attraction, not even both. That only goes so far. It's good to be FRIENDS first (I promise you, trust me) so that when the new fades and you've both been stripped down to your bare soul, seen each other's faults and ugly side, you have something left.

Unfortunately, looks to matter to EVERYONE at least to some small, miniscule extent. Since I've grown older, I've also found that I'm in that 10% where looks don't matter that much. I still like to admire bishounen and pretty Asian boys, and I'm STILL egaged to Elijah Wood  , but the people I wind up dating I date because of their heart, and that enhances their external appearance as well.

Me neither (havent had a boyfriend, that is, although Ive been asked..), but I agree I would definetley choose the nice guy, looks just really dont matter to me anymore. Ive been 'asked out' by enough of them anyways... (the guys who' look good but end up to be jerks') All I really care about is their personality.

I don't know why girls like "bad boys". Maybe it's because some of them like "bad boys" because they admire them or something for being rebellious. It's weird...

Just what is it about bad guys that makes them so attractive to females? I'm asking 'cause I once was attracted to a totally bad, rebellious guy who was a complete loser.

A better question is why do some girls go for guys who treat them like trash? It seems the more a man mistreats a women the more affection the girls want to try and get from that guy. At least from what I've observed. SOunds stupid, but I see it happen everyday.

Does it bug you guys when a girl opens a door for you?

Lets just say it feels a bit weird.

Dont' get me wrong, I'm not angry or anything... it's just a lot of stuff I take notice of.

Okay, I won't do that anymore...or shall I ask if they're trying to carry a piano or something?

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!
