Anime Merchandise

Postby Hitokiri » Fri Feb 18, 2005 1:42 pm

Does anyone got any anime toys, shirts, backpacks, wallscrolls, key chains, etc?

All I have it a Kuroneko (Trigun) keychain, a 24 x 40 poster of Princess Mononoke, and hopefully soon I have a Neon Genesis Evangelion shirt being shipped to be with the "Nerv" logo.

I wouldn't mind purchasing some of the Evangelion, Love Hina, Ghost in the Shell toys but 1) they are expensive 2) what would I do with them? and 3) are usually in in-modest clothing...defiently the Love Hina toys -_-;;;

I have a whole mess of anime merchandise - it's almost embarassing. ^^; Among things, I have numerous wallscrolls that I rotate every now and then (right now it's Fushigi Yuugi and Saiyuki), a Kyo Sohma hat (yes, the one with ears), a Fruits Basket bag I take to school, various shirts, a little cell phone charm with Krad on it... .__. it just keeps building up as the years go by.

>_< I have too much to list really, but here are some highlights:

A Kyou plushie *squeal*, an Akashi plushie, 6 Naruto capsule figurines, Naruto playing cards, 6 Naruto busts, two Naruto wall scrolls, a life size Trunks (from DBZ) wall scroll, a DBZ Cell Saga wall scroll, a DBZ drinking cup, DBZ coasters, Chobits calendar, Chobits wallscroll (Chii and Freya), 10 Naruto keychains (although I only use Rock Lee because he rules) and a Chobits picture.

In case anyone noticed the DBZ trend....that was the first anime I got into.

I have a great amount of Pokemon merchandise, which would take a long time to list in detail.
Aside of that, I have a cool InuYasha t-shirt (red-ish with a pic of InuYasha with his Tetsusaiga and a string of fire around it and him), both domestic Ai Yori Aoshi OSTs (Sakura and Pine), and the domestic OST for Samurai X. That's about it I believe, for now anyway.

I've got the first FLCL OST ("Addict"), the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex OST, and the pride of my collection: a Cowboy Bebop T-shirt with Spike on it! *squeals* I wear it to school and everything! Someday I'll take a picture of myself wearing it for my profile...
Think happy thoughts.

Y'know, this is something that I'm wanting more of myself. The only collectibles I have are from when I first got into Sailor Moon in high school. I got a wall scroll, a poster, a deck of playing cards, a few SD figurines, a watch (my sister got it...), and a shirt I wanted to frame and not wear (but I never got it framed). Later on, I got out of anime for a couple of years, and since returning a few years ago from now, I haven't found anything to buy.

I think I'm going into way too much detail.

I've got the Big O OST 1, a little silver Krillin from a DBZ Burger King kids meal somewhere around here, and a Big O figurine fighting a bobblehead Michlin Man on a stack of CDs and Kenshin mangas here on my computer. ^_^

Generally speaking, when I have spare money I prefer to spend it on actual anime and manga rather than merchandise. All that I have right now is a wallscroll for Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. I have thought about purchasing a carrier bag with an anime logo of some sort--Evangelion, probably--but haven't actually done so yet.

Let's see, I have:
Import reproduction artwork from Negima (vol 3, 19th Period starting art if you're interested in what it loks like)
DVD advertisement for Urusei Yatsura 2 in Japanese
Sailor Moon S wall scroll (Can't tell if it's real or fake)
Kanon figures (Ayu and the sick girl)
Sailor Moon figure
Love Hina figures of SHinobu and Naru

I'll probably get the Excel Saga wall scroll, another import of Negima and look for some figures-- how they look are most important to me...

. . . enveeeeeey.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I got mine at Anime Weekend Atlanta con in 2003. I remember seeing them at Media Play before, but I don't know if they still carry them or not.

And yeah, posters count as Anime Merchandise or I think they do. But someone will had to post to make sure.

The only thing that I want to know is, if anime cels count as Anime Merchandise?

I'm the same way for the most part. However, I do have a Sailor Moon clock which I don't use (or did I give it away?...), the His and Hers Circumstances OST, and the Sakura Wars: The Movie OST.
