Can I download it somewhere? (it can't really be robbery if it isn't licensed here)
R. Zion wrote:Basically 'the craft', from what I remember, resembles more the mutant powers of, say, the X-Men, as some have put it, than real witch craft.
There are there strange circles that popped up in 2 or 3 episodes I never understood, though.

Rev. Doc wrote:My Neighbor Totoro is excellent and I highly recommend it. However, if you are going to get a subtitle version you will have to purchase a Region 2 copy from Japan as a licensed subtitled isn't available on region 1. There is indeed a licensed Region 1 copy of the dubbed and I remember it to be quite good. Disney was going to rerelease Totoro with subtitle this month but it was replaced with The Cat Returns. However, it is believed it will be coming out in the near future. But if I were you I would go ahead and pick up the dubbed. In fact I saw a copy at Best Buy the other day for $9.99. You can't beat that.
bakura_fan wrote:In Witch Hunter Robin the term "witch" is applied to a human of either gender who has paranormal powers. It does not specifically relate to the use of magic. The difference between Witch and Hunter seems to be based on which side one is on, as Robin and Karasuma both have special abilities."
Hitokiri wrote:The witches in WHR aren't as the usual mindset...warty, pointy hat hags that fly on brooms. They all fight for a different cause. For instance, Robin who is said to be a craft user, uses her powers to help wtches by capturing them and constrain thier powers.
Than you get some witches who use thier powers for revenge, thier own personal gain, or for kicks.
While some use thier powers to help others in need. For instance, in one episode, a guy finds out her has the power to bring a person back from near-death by sacraficing a person's life to save that.
in the end of the episode, he sacrafices his own life to save his friend
.
So it's kinda mixed. I don't really think them as witches but more so as mutants like X-Men but more realistic.
Crossdive wrote:btw, you forgot to put IMO after that X-Men reference. Some people would agree, others wouldn't. Please put an IMO after that sort of thing, otherwise people might get the impression that you believe your opinion is the opinion, rather than just that: an opinion. Thanks...
oh, and, incase I said anything in need of it that I didn't really notice, IMO...

Mangafanatic wrote:Um, anything that any of us say in a discussion post (especially in a thread where opinions have been solicited) has an understood IMO before it, because any statement anyone makes that's not plain synopsis is obviously an opinion.
If we threw in "IMHO's" every other sentence, the phrase would loose its importance.
