songs which annoy you but you like anyway

There are some songs that I find annoying but also like for some weird reason that I can't explain. A short list would include "Goonies r' good enough" by Cyndi Lauper and "Barbie girl" by Aqua. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

That demon song that Elric gave us in the good off section. I can't stop listening, and I can't quit hating it. AaHhHh!!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Yes, that song is pure techno EVIL! And yet it's so addictively catchy!! Ahh!

Through a series of comedic events, I recently came into possession of a large collection of works by the group Morning Musume. It was the most bizarre thing I had ever heard. It sounded like a bunch of Japanese teenagers got drunk, kidnapped Moby, and recorded themselves doing karaoke in the garage. But, I couldn't stop listening to it. It's running on infinite loop in my car and I can't stop listening to it! SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Daisuke to Ken no Kaimono Carol from Digimon Adventure 2. xD; Prepubescent Digi-boys singing about Christmas NEVER goes out of season! Ah, but how the song annoys the heck out of my poor boyfriend. x3;

Country Joe and the Fish I'm Fixin' to Die Rag espouses an outlook I disagree with, but man that's a catchy tune!

Like a Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan is another one. The guy DESPERATELY needs singing lessons (and Harmonica lessons), but this song somehow works

Well I would start out with Louis Louis since nobody really knows what the
lyrics are, although you can look 'em up,and it's one of those songs that
EVERYONE seems to have recorded at one time or another. Then I would
add Don't Worry,Be Happy! since it is the most annoyingly sappy song
I know that has ever been written.
On the other hand the one song I hate the most is Feelings,I mean those
EVERYONE have to sing it?It seems like sooner or later someone gets bold enough to do yet another kaoroke version of it(mostly when it seems they're drunk,I suppose no-one who's sober would even try to want to
sing it).
Finally William Shatner's version of Mr.Tambourine Man,ACK! :bang: :hits_self
Oh well...at least we know how Captain Kirk was able to defeat the
Klingons all the time!

There's this song by a band named Erky Grant & The Earwigs called "I Can't Get Enough Of You" that has to be heard to be believed. It ought to be a catchy little Beatles-esque rock song, aside from the... distinctive vocal. Seriously, the song must have been recorded as a joke that went terribly wrong, because it is one of the worst vocals I've EVER heard. Forget William Hung, this isn't a guy trying to sing who just can't, this is a guy deliberately screwing up and doing it with gusto. He's just so smasmaticaly, irrationally whack-ading-hoy that I can't help but listen to it OVER and OVER again.

The same goes for "Questa Volta," a goofy, infectious little Italian pop song which rock legends The Yardbirds were forced to record.

"Always Talkin'" by Squad Five-O. I don't like the chorus, but I listen to it a lot. "Shut it, shut it up, shut it down!"
