Awesome bands that seemingly nobody knows.

For all the music-lovers out there, this is your place to swap lyrics, talk about new bands and jazz about concerts. All things related to the audio world belong here.

Awesome bands that seemingly nobody knows.

This thread is dedicated to all the bands that you think are awesome yet seemingly nobody knows about. Got any? Here are some cool bands that I listen to but barely anyone seems to know.

Saviour Machine -gothic rock opera (almost literally opera.)
Celldweller - Faster industrial
Makeshift 3 - punk a bit emo-ish.
Noggintaboggan - punk
Calibretto 13 - folk punk!
A New Face For Mona - an old work buddies hardcore band.

When I think of more I'll post them.

My favourite band is a rubber band. You can tie things up with it, you can play with it or use it as a projectile against pesky co-workers.

They Might Be Giants are cool from what I remember...MeWithoutYou seems kind of big to me. They have a pretty big underground fanbase. As for bands that are small on CAA I'd put down MXPX...There seems to be about only 3 or 4 other fans of them here :(

Other bands that I forgot to put down are.

Viva Voce
One Eighty aka Flight 180
Buck aka Buck Enterprises
Mortal
Rackets And Drapes
AP2
Trust Company
ESO
Stavesacre
Embodyment

Hurray for MXPX!!! I really enjoyed their album 'Life in General' and other assorted songs, but I havent listened to any of their stuff recently (only when it comes on my Launchcast Player).

I also used to really like 'The Juliana Theory' bach when their album 'Understand this is a Dream' came out. But I dont hear much from them anymore either.

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

i know about the Ramones...I just never listen to them. Kind of sad cuz I'm a punk fan...I might check out their stuff sometime. Yeah Saviour Machine is also nicknamed "The Soundtrack To The End Times." Their stuff is basically Revelations set to goth opera. It seems like Zao is pretty well liked here on CAA...I may be wrong though.

Oh how quick you are to assume... I happen to like Nightwish quite a lot and I have heard a handful of Zao songs.

For the record, I have heard of both The Agony Scene and Zao, and although it's been a while I remember liking what I heard of The Agony Scene's music.

I do enjoy their album Shimmer quite a bit.

Ballydowse is a good band that very few people seem to have heard of at all. (What's not to like about celtic punk?) The Choir is also very good, although most of their fans seem to be about a generation older than I am.

oh... soooo wrong! I, personally, am almost completely obsessed with Killswitch Engage and Zao! ^_^

However, I'm sure that no one's heard of the short-lived, yet awesome swing group Flight 180... a shame, too. I'm looking for their first cd, called "Crackerjack"... *sigh*

Actually Nightshade X I already posted them. Crackerjack is a cool CD. They were just known as One Eighty on that CD though.

Koari I also commend your taste in music. I've always wanted to check Ballydowse out but was never able to find any of their stuff :frown:

SirThinks2Much I just saw Seventh Day Slumber in concert Saturday. They were an opening act along with Kids In The Way for Skillet's collide tour. They were really nice guys. Kids in the way were fun to hang out with...I gave some of them my autograph!
