Actually the manga it's taken from has a lot of beatiful looking girls but the main character somehow promised to date the friend of the girl friend of his friend, my friend. She's there for comedy relief and she does it pretty well if I may say so because she herself thinks she's the epitome of womanliness ]Girls Saurus[/B]

Actually, Straylight set up an April Fools Day joke where everyone's gender marker switched for the day. It was very amusing. ^^
*lol* Yeah, that was funny. People kept saying that they just realized I was a guy, and I had to explain to them what the admins did.

Rofl! That cracked me up!

I use guy avatars because guys are almost always my favorite characters, and I enjoy being like my favorite characters.

I don't see why a guy can't have a female character in his avatar. I mean, c'mon, I'm a girl and I have Heero Yuy as my avatar. I basically chose it 'cause I liked the attitude in the picture, and I was bored with my original Duo avatar.

I'm using a female avy because it looks better than male avy to me. This has nothing to do with my gender Image

When I was little I always wanted to be a boy, because I always felt less of a person going to school (me being a girl and all)....not anymore now, though. I do however like to make my characters in my storys, look like the opposite gender....becuase i'm weird. :P

But that's why we love you! *huggles chibi-chan* I don't particularly care what gender avatars are so long as I'm sure what gender the actual person is. So long as I'm really clear on that, their avatar doesn't matter much.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Bahahaha! Poor Hitokiri! He has a "man's man" kind of name and people think he's a girl!

I scared the tar out of a freshmen one year when I went to school as a guy for oppossite day during spirit week. I fooled my teachers, too, but I attribute that to my good acting ability. I once was asked if I was a boy (once was enough) by a kid when I was helping out with bible school. I thought, "OK, need to grow out my hair and get a new wardrobe."

I pick characters I like as avatars, and I pick girls (when it's a person) because my screen name is confusing to some people. Right now, I'm using Cheza as a reminder to work on the qualities that the character has that I don't (gentleness and submissiveness in Cheza's case).

 Me too, chibi_imouto-chan! Only, I always took on the male roles in make believe because I wanted to be the one doing the fighting and heroic stuff, and that was always the guy's job, especially in things like the Disney movies I watched.

Now, if I feel like I want to be a guy, it's becuase I'd love to be a Jrocker, but they tend to look even more effeminate than I do, so I figure being a girl gives me a headstart and I'm happy. Though my manga guys do tend to look like girls... <.< >.>

I don't really know why they do. I would never do it. If I wanted to display a cute bishoujo, I'd do it in my sig. Avvies are sort of the "face" of the member, and I don't want my face to be a girl's.

I dunno for sure, i would never do it. But my guess would be there are a lot of really good anime that have female characters that the story revolves around. That would be my guess as it is the only simple solution i can think of. Well, then again, some people just doing something different. I would fall under that catergory a lot, but i still don't think i would choose a female avatar, if i could pick an avatar anyway, but then again, i don't see a big deal about it. Just what some people pick; their avatar is up to them after all.

Right now I have little BIG-FIRE as my avatar. BIG-FIRE in jeans and such. I'm going to change it eventually.

personally, i have somewhat of a self-portrait for my avatar. but i tend to look at the gender symbol, since i usually look at the name anyway, since it's less confusing than trying to keep up with frequently changing avatars.

*Winces* Yes, it's always the kids that will say exactly what they're thinking. I feel bad for the mothers that have to cover their kid's mouth after the child asks me why I'm in the girl's bathroom, or asked me very loudly "Are you a boy or a girl?" Yes ... time to grow the hair out again. -_- And I look older with long hair, so people might actually believe that I'm in my 20s instead of asking me when I'm graduating high school.

When it can be found, it's usually in the kid's section of bookstores, but it's pretty enjoyable even at my age and can give manga a run for it's money.
