I absolutely love the weapon designs, and the comedy element works pretty good too.

Wolfwood and Legato are my favorite bishounen.

My other favorite characters would be Milly and Rem.

As for the coolest scene, there are too many to name one, but my current favorite for funny was the one in episode 19 where the hijacked sandsteamer crashes into the town and Vash runs toward it to deal with the situation-leaving Wolfwood with the restaurant tab :grin:

I'll post more here later when you finish the series. I wouldn't be mean enough to spoil it all for you. . .or would I. . .? ~.^

I love the part in the second or third episode when Vash dodges the bullet and then stands there looking all tough and cool, then suddenly screams SCARY!!! and starts running around in terror looking like an idiot.

Why am I posting here? Because the title of the thread applies to me. A friend of mine has the series, and was most gracious in sharing. So now I've seen the first 12 episodes, and I will most likely see the rest at a later (but relatively soon) date. Until I see the entire series, I'm going to hold off on general comments or favorites.

But I do have one thing to say. I wish I knew which episode this was, or the title. Unfortunately, I'll have to describe it and hope others know which one I'm talking about. It's the one where there's a caravan taking slaves, and the leader's son is their only ticket into the city. The last scene is Wolfwood driving away in a motorcycle. Ring a bell?

I hated this episode. It did have Vash being cool, which was fine, but I liked little else. Wolfwood's actions seem out of character, and don't make any real sense to me (well, I sort of understand his logic). To make matters worse, Wolfwood seems to be satisfied at the end of the episode, yet his original argument still stands! It would have been fine if not for Wolfwood's issue, but with that included the ending was horribly unsatisfying.

Can anyone help me out here?

It was probably the poorest episode in Trigun, if you ask me. It was kinda one of those futile runarounds that didn't really get you too much farther than when you started. It wasn't even funny...

Oh yeah, that was episode 11, "Escape From Pain."

I kind of liked it (LOL, mostly because I'm a huge fan of WolfwoodxMilly and one of the fans that thinks their relationship was deeper than a one night stand because Wolfwood knew he was dying the next day or Wolfwood was substituting her for Vash (some of the "explanations" I've heard, don't ban me, I detest W/V yaoi, it's OOC and silly), and this is the episode where he admits that he has some feelings for her) but I see your point.

I think Wolfwood was indeed out of character, and I HATED the ending. Nevertheless the episode kind of started off well IMHO, it just got confused and confusing near the end. ^sigh^

As I said, episode 12. That'd be "Diablo" the one where Legato is introduced and Vash gets really ticked off. By the by, I sort of liked Legato, though he really annoyed me after a short while. But better than most of the villains in Trigun as of yet.

Nah, I think they somehow got through... I mean, Vash wouldn't let that town starve to death, man!

By the way... I've been a huge Trigun obessive for about two years now. Vash is my favorite anime character of all time, and one of my favorite characters in all of fiction.

I have now seen nearly all of Trigun. A few of the episodes before the last ones are still unwatched, so I obviously need to see those (not that they're important or anything). But now I have pretty much "watched" Trigun.

[SPOILER=Ending Thoughts]I dont see how it can be thought that Vash kills Knives. Not only does Vash carry him away at the end, he binds his wounds. So I think its obvious he spares Knives life. This is a nice touch. Almost (a very key word) Christian. [/SPOILER]

I saw a little of it in the notification e-mail, and I do want to point out one thing: you said that mummification would be impossible or near so in a dry desert climate. If I remember correctly, the *exact* opposite is true. :eyebrow:

Decay and dry, desert climates... er-hem! I have a little bit of expertise in this area. Well, maybe I don't have complete expertise, but I have knowledge from my observations.

Yes, history tells us that in Ancient Egypt, the earliest mummies were not embalmed like in later times - but were simply covered in dry sand until their fluids dried up. Something similar happens with frozen mummies found in the Andes and such... the dry air leeches the moisture from them, creating a mummifcation process. Dry air, such as in a desert, is perfect for this type of thing.

As for my knowledge... if you've gone to my main website, perhaps you have noticed my "Bone Art". Yeeeeep. I paint animal bones. It's a kind of folk art. I have my own way of doing it, though. I've attached some of the scans I have of my work here for an example of what I do.

The process all starts with me finding materials. I have a few bones found from the woods or given to me by others who found them, but the majority of what I use is found in the desert near my home. (See where I live under my avatar). It is a dry enviroment, believe me.

When I find a carcass [spoiler=Some details may be too much for the squeamish]The dry air tends to dessicate it quickly within a week The animals skin is all dried up and clinging to dry bones any flesh left is the consistancy of beef jerky Maggots and other insects take care of the brain and other soft tissues but much of the rest just dries up. Of course scavengers tend to scatter things but Ive often found carcasses nearly intact all dried up flesh and bone like this[/spoiler]

Of course, after that, I bleach the bones [spoiler=grody process]And bleach-water is the only way to get get the dried flesh off the bones...to get this mummifed gunk to peel off, and it still takes elbow grease on my part since the skin gets so hardened[/spoiler] then, wash them off, dry them, and paint them with acrylics.

But, yeah... my experiences with mummification and the desert. Quite lovely, huh?
