yes well i still think it is funny when my bro comes back here from caly and is like cold even though it is like 35-40 out. but then we do get fairly hot in the summer which is intersting. Sking is not that bad once you figure out how not to land in the snow all the time :p

I live like 2 hours away from a couple of them, but I've never met 'em.

Heh, nice little skit. I can totally see shatterheart doing the lemon snowcone thing. If you don't mind me asking: Why would anyone from Texas move to Denver?
Texans + Snow = Disaster waiting to happen.

We don't need anymore people to move here, seeing as traffic is catching up to California levels every year, but I suppose I can make an exception for your parents Ash. On one condition: They both become rabid Broncos fans.

True, true. Anyway, my mother is CRAZY about the Rockies--we've vacationed all over Colorado, and she loves it. She also thinks she loves snow. Thus, my parents want to get away from Texas and mom wants to live in Colorado.

Heh. Mom already is, and Dad mourns the "orange crush of yesteryear". No wonder we don't get along when football is on. :shady:

California actually has mountains with snow on it... so I don't think they'd stand out as much... although what do I know, I never go skiing or snowboarding.

I only know my brothers that are on here. Man, I wanna go to Cornerstone, but my youth group took a vote and we wanted to go on a missions trip instead. But I'm not even sure that's gonna happen.

Yeah, I guess I will definitely make an exception for your parents, and I can't blame them for loving the Rockies. As for you and your Raider-cheering, I guess you could keep that. I find that having sports rivalries always makes things interesting.

Case in point, I am from Colorado, but regularly cheer for the Colorado Avalanche's biggest rival, the Detroit Red Wings. Why? Because I followed the Red Wings while the Avalanche were still called the Quebec Nordiques, so I guess I'm loyal in that regard. Anyway, having the gall to wear a Red Wings Jersey around the state gets me into less trouble, and more great conversations about hockey than you might think. Also it is great fun to see the rivalry come playoff time, even if the Avalanche fans constantly berate you with "Red Wings Suck" everywhere you go.

Still, the rivalry thing always works if you are a sports fan first, and a hometeam fan second. That way regardless of who you are cheering for, you are still able to appreciate the great performances of any athlete or team in your sport of choice.

Sorry, that was way off topic.

I miss hockey.
