I'm sure you've heard of Yellowcard. Any thoughts on this band? Any objectionable content at all?

They're not my favorite band, but I do like them a lot.

As far as objectionable content goes: On their album "Ocean Avenue", one of the songs (View From Heaven) uses the phrase 'beats the h---' a few times.

I THINK that's all, but then again, it's been a while since I've listened to that CD. If there's anything else, I'll let you know.

Well, we listened to one of their CDs in my history class once, and my teacher is really strict so it cant be too bad, lol. I echo the others - I like what I've hear of them. Pretty awesome stuff.

Thanks.........but language isn't the only thing i'm watchin out for.......anything objectionable lyrically? Like what they talk about? Because me and my friend used to listen to Linkin Park, and they don't really swear or anything, but my mom wouldn't let me listen to them because of what they talked about........

They wouldn't let us lsiten to them at school if there was anything bad in the lryics. ^^ I wasn't listening to it very closely, but it seemed pretty innocent to me.

Interesting factoid: Linkin Park is one of the few mainstream bands in a LONG time that I haven't heard curse in a single song.

As for Yellowcard, I hear they're local, and I hear them on a local station all the time, but I don't really like them that much. I'd have to hear more before I could really give an informed opinion. Judging from their song "Only One," they have talent, but I don't really know if they play the kind of music I like style-wise.

Nothing objectionable that I can tell. (I have their Ocean Avenue CD) Just the "Beats the h--- out of me" line that is repeated in one song, like Sango said. What they talk about? Umm... I don't think so, but then I never thought LP sang about anything bad either. (except for maybe the song "High Voltage" and their Jay Z "Collision Coarse" CD, which I haven't heard. Anyways, I think Yellowcard is a pretty good band with a pretty clean CD. I didn't find anything offensive in it.
