I like being short! Am I the only one? It's tough on guys I guess but I don't think it's so tough on girls. I'm the shrimp of my family too, so I have no fear of tall people because my 6 foot cousins would hurl me like a frisbee if I annoyed them too much so I can face anybody. I also do dance as exercise mostly so being short is to my advantage; most ballet dancers are short because they have to wear the shoes and still be shorter than the men. Plus, I can shop in Jr's section and get clothes with a little more personality.

Heh, Orogirl, I thought you were like seven feet or something...

Anyway...I'm 5'3". Kenshin-dono's height!!!! XDDDD

Strange thing is, I look like Kenshin too...same haircut...same build...same height...same eye color...similar hair...

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. I am 5 foot.. possibly 5. More likely 5"4.

I also suspect that my twin is slightly taller than me. (*ponders this*). That, or I'm slightly taller than Photoshop. (*shrugs*).

I don't consider myself short. But I do consider a lot of you to be amazingly tall.... I'm about average in my friends and there's a couple that *might* just have cleared 5. My Mum's just over 5" too, and my Dad's maybe 5"7..? - So I don't know how good an indicator that is, considering all my older brothers are taller than our parents  . I think my Dad retains some dignity by being taller than his daughters. ;)

*Hurrah!* Yes, us small people are blessed. Plus, if we play baseball, we've got less of a strike zone

Plus, a lot of us who refer to ourselves as short... aren't. Actually, in many ways I want to be short. A lot of good friends and inspirational people in my life have been short - instead of letting it get them down they are just themselves and people love them for it.

Same with tall people. And average people - I like people of all sizes. It doesn't really matter how tall you all are.
