Cursor/touchpad acting up

Postby Debitt » Mon Jan 17, 2005 10:21 pm

The touchpad mouse on my laptop just recently started acting REALLY weird (by recently I mean maybe 15 minutes ago). When I try to use it, the cursor goes all over the place - in fact, it shoots everywhere that I don't want it to go, and when I'm not even near the pad on the laptop, I can see the little arrow shaking back and forth ever so slightly. I've tried everything and I don't know what's causing the problem - I wiped the computer off, I make sure there was nothing on the pad, and I even spent 5 minutes shouting Bible verses at it (hey, it's late at night, I'm kinda scared. xD; )

I don't know what's wrong, so if anyone has a solution, it'd be much appreciated. If it's any help, I'm using an HP Omnibook.

Possesed is it?

Does it go in a random direction? or across the screen...say right to left?

On my laptop, the mouse pointer will occasionally teleport to the upper right corner.

A couple of times I've closed programs without meaning to.

I'm not sure why, but I currently suspect either my touchpad driver or something in the touchpad itself (less likely, I'd think). It hasn't done it that much for me, so I haven't really investigated.
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.

happens to my ibook to at times. Maybe something else like heat + dust is moving it? Perhaps other fingers are near the touchpad, moving it a little. Try just using ONE finger and hold the rest like all away from you

I tried. >_> It doesn't seem to be having the problem as often anymore...xD; after I tried 4356234624562 Bible verses AND Kantarou's exorcism chant...

Actually I think it was the heat. o.o;
