Yeah... That's likely why EA said they'd take anyone who got a B or better in their game project... The game development course is infamously difficult. I believe you can do it, though. Just don't let CAA distract you. Please study and pray and study and study... And pray... This needs to be your entire focus for the next 21 months... Also, try to get a day a week to rest. Don't do any work one day a week, but don't waste it on CAA either, except maybe once a month... It's just natural to need rest once a week (Sabbath was made for Man, not Man for the Sabbath... It's there for our good) The other 6 days, you better be in the books at at the computers as much as possible.
I got really depressed and thought I wouldn't be able to make it, and I was right... I can't make it in my current state, but I don't plan on staying in my current state for long. I plan on getting my math up to snuff and developing my study habits before I leave. Even the FS alumnus that suggested the school to me said that he knew the Game Development course is HELL. It is worth it, however, if you make it through. I'll be praying for you every day, Volt. You are going to make it, even through those horrible math classes.
I am a bit bothered by the fact they don't test you at all... I won't go until I get 90% or better in my self-tests for trig...
By the way, I feel very responsible for you going (you were looking into other schools before my spiel) so I definately want to see you succeed in this. I also want to see you succeed because there need to be Christians in the game world, and because I wanna be a part of that world and I want to succeed as well... I know that if I were ever to do that, it would have to be an obessive sort of focus. I'd get as much help with the math as possible, and don't give up untill you grasp the concepts... For the next couple months, you need to be eating and breathing math. Make sure you sleep well, too. Math time isn't the time for all nighters... Those come later. Math time is the time you need healthy, balanced food and a normal sleep rythm. Just keep that in mind. No cram sessions... Just hard study all day and good sleep at night.
Oh... how long have you been there? Are the math courses over with? If you passed the math courses ok, then I guess you don't have to worry about allnighters anymore... You WILL be doing those during programming time...
