When I watch an anime... and let's just say the main character dies, or something along those lines...I like it even more.

Or when the one villain you hate the most never fights the good guys...

Or cliffhanger endings...

When he *DOESN'T* get the girl...

Generally, the more drama for me, the better. I enjoy this type of stuff... anybody ELSE?!(inside joke)

I can relate to the main character dying part....unless I liked them to the point of obsessively hunting down pictures of them. Then I am sad. But personally, I think killed the protagonist gives a series an air of reality - not everything has a happy sugar coated ending.

I tend to like tragic endings if they are done well. For example, I liked the ending of Cowboy Bebop.

Drama is fine, most of the anime I watch are drama. . . but sometimes if my favorite character dies or the guy doesn't get the right girl or if there is something that needs to be said that desn't get said, My tv almost gets broken . . LoL Just sometimes anime can go to far with all the drama. . .
