Ushicon

'm going to Ushicon in Austin, TX in a few weeks and will be doing my panel (Christianity & Anime) and passing out flyers there. Anyone else going? I'd like to meet up with you.

As of right now I know that the panel will be at 5:00 PM on Sat, Jan 22. Don't know the room yet.

I am not going there, but I do have a question about the convention's name.

What does Ushi mean? I know what sushi is, but I have never heard of Ushi....

Ushi is a cow or bull I believe and my guess is it's being held in Texas.

I won't be attending, although I do hope to hear an audio recording of the panel. However, I will admit the fact that the files for the Oni-con panel a while back still haven't seen the light of day may indicate that it may be a while before I hear it.

Yeah, that's my fault. I'm sorry, I really am, this last leg of school was just really busy for me. I'll try to get it done early this next week so OldPhil can digitize it.

I regret to say I won't be attending Ushicon this year, but I am still very much interested in doing a panel at another convention, Keely, and I wish you the very best. It just didn't work out for me this time.

Ah, so that's the reason. I can sympathize, and thank you.

Austin, TX... my home town. *sips his kool-aid*

Anyways....
I will be attending Ushicon. Went last year and it rocked! It was my first anime convention and well... it really was a culture shock if I may say. Though, that's not a bad thing. :P
*recalls his memory of the DDR dancing cup...*

Perhaps if I catch you on the right day and time I'll be able to introduce myself again; we met once in Houston.. Most likely I'll be there on Saturday :P. It'll be nice to see if any other CAA members will be attending. If not, well... that's life.
