So Bad it's Good

I have returned! ...

Can you name any animes that were just so awful you enjoyed them?

For me, I'd say Go Nagai's Devilman from the 1970s. It's hilariously funny because of how lame it is.

Also, Go Nagai's 1998 Shin Getter Robo. I love SGR, it has great animation and the most nonsensical plot in the history of anime. So bad it's enjoyable.

Definitly Yugioh. the plot is totally ridiculuse, I mean they are deciding the fate of the world by playing a card game!!, but there is just something really addictive about it

Tonde Buurin. To give you an idea of what it's like, it's a semi-serious magical girl show about a girl that turns into a flying pig. It's not what I would call horrible, but nobody would call it great. It's just very "out there" and funny in a lot of ways that I don't think are intended. I ended up laughing at it as much as I laughed with it, and that was a lot of fun.

Yu-Gi-Oh.

Knights of the Zodiac.

Dual Masters. In the dub, it's funny on purpose; but I'm trying to figure out if it was originally intended to be funny or if it was just really bad.

Pretty much anything 4Kids dubs.
Yeah, I'm that opinionated.

So otaku, but not...

"Fist of the Northstar", I don't think I've seen anything else that tops its cheese factor.

I'd also say "Uzumaki". Although it's live action, it's based on a manga. It's got to be the screwiest film I've ever seen. Comedy gold.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Project A-Ko, the movie. NOW THAT WAS so bad I actually enjoyed it on some sub-level of my imagination. Drunk Alien Captains, Robotic battles, Col Saunders, etc.

So bad its good.

I saw a fansub version of Trashed princess, and that was hilarious.

sample diologue: "Is she type of man to perish world?"
"She would be catastrophic fountain head"
"Dogon Amphibians!"

I watched about two hors of that and had a blast.

Well I believe Duel Masters is the way it is because they're(at least in the
dub)poking fun at anything and everything, especially Yu-Gi-Oh!

I'll get burned for this but I'd have to say Fushigi Yuugi. It was so horrible that I couldn't help but watch more of it. I'd have to agree with almost all the 4kids stuff. A great anime that is so bad it's good is Ultimate Muscle.

Well the first one that I couldn't really stand was SD Gundam that CN aired
awhile back.Fortunately it didn't kill my interest in Gundam period but whetted my appetite to see a REAL Gundam series. :jump:
