Probably lots and lots and LOTS of cosplayers. And BTW, "con" is the conventional short hand for convention; convo tends to mean conversation. Just thought I'd like you know.

with EXTREME AMOUNTS of naruto characters, inuyashas, yunas, sephiroths, vashes, clouds. All the inuyashas and vashes scared me. I liked the naruto ones though ^^ someone dressed really well as jirayi. ANd many cat-girls. Some scantily clad *twitches*

and be prepared for a LOT of yaoi fangirls, avoid them at all costs! They like to have signs saying "I LIKE YAOI" and other stuff

and be prepared for old school final fantays dorks! As they are really awesome!

The leather jacket will be right at home. Most cons I've seen have a pretty strong Goth streak to go along with all of the other craziness.

you can really wear whatever you want at anime cons - there's too many weirdos for anyone to stand out, wearing they're cosplaying or not; your outfit sounds fine, though ^_^ which con is it, by the way?

My first one was last here and I was in complete culture shock... Not a bad thing, but different. People are hard-core about their anime and J-rock/pop.

SmartyPants wrote:with EXTREME AMOUNTS of naruto characters, inuyashas, yunas,

Yep, be ready for the saturation of Naruto characters. Inuyasha is like the second favorite choice and Yuna is quite popular too. Though, there are a few w/ really unique ones.

Hint: Cosplayers love for people to ask if they can take their picture. It's a complement to them. So if you go, take a camera. You will see some really neat and odd stuff... Even aside from the cosplayers :P

Watch out in the dealers room. IF you are not careful you may end up in the hentai section in dvd or comic/manga area (many yaoi/yuri types). I mean you'll be walking the dealers and checking out all the dvd's, treats and goodies then...bam! Hentai. Happens... But overall, conventions are fun. I like my anime, but these guys are hard-core people, taking it to the extreme. Which makes for a pretty interesting atmosphere. Though, I was so surprised to see such diversity... People of all types: young, old to really old, cowboys, punk rockers etc... It's quite fun.

There are also random people walking around wearing signs asking to be glomped. I actually had someone ask me to glomp him at Otakon. It was weird. And I've gotten into some really fun conversations with random people. ^_^

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

Might as well relate some random con stories...

I came back to my room late to find that my bed was stolen. After trying to fall asleep on the floor for a few hours I got up and wandered out to the lobby. It's so late it's early, but there are a bunch of people sitting around talking, including a few of the voice actors from ADV. Those guys are weird. But anyway, after some random conversation we discovered that the whole con was in danger of being cancelled because someone had scribbled on the walls and ticked off the management. After a frantic search for a store that sold bleach at that hour, the day was saved.

Later on that day I stumbled upon Yugi-oh! hentai, watched as my friends were stalked by people cosplaying as gay rock stars, and was forcibly abducted by LARPers.

A good time was had by all.
