Chapter 1

Where am i? where is this place? How long have i been here? Where was I running to?

The trees swept past in a blurred image. The bamboo scratching the skin.. Blood dripped down his arms, breath came in short uneven gasp.

What's chasing me? The blood rushed to her ears as the wound in her side pumped the precious blood out of her body. The forest cleared.

Houses and stalls came into vision. Where is it? where is it? The new kimono she had been wearing laid tattered and torn. Darkness closed into her line of vision, a vacumn sucking her conciousness.

She collapsed, her eyes rolling up to the full moon above. Who am i?

Himura Kenshin rolled up his sleeves. Dippin his hand into the scalding water, he barely felt the steaming water on his callused hands. Humming quietly with the birds that sung beside him, he begin washing the dishes before him.

"HIyaa!" Yahiko's cries came from within the dojo walls.

"No Yahiko, that's not right!" Kaoru's stern voice yelled.

"What do you mean, old hag? That was perfect!"

"Old Hag! YOu little runt!"

Yahiko's strangled cries resounded through the walls.

"Those two," Kenshin sighed, " They'll never get along." He stood, put the pair of buckets on his shoulders and walked out of the dojo walls. He began to pour out the water and stopped.

"Miss Kaoru!" He ran inside.

"Yes, Kenshin, what is it?" Kaoru appeared, smiling, with Yahiko in a head lock.

"Call the doctor immediately and Yahiko get some water and rags."

"Kenshin-"Kaoru begin.

"Now!" the ronin threw her a glance.

"Right." She sped off now the street while Yahiko rushed inside.

He ran back to the body he saw before him. Covered in blood, eyes vacant, her green eyes staring at the sky. Is she even alive?

"Miss?" He kneeled down and felt for her pulse, "Weak. This is not good."

"Help me." came the faint cry from the bloodied body, "It's coming."

The eyes rolled back into her head as she sucumbed to the darkness.

i'm not sure if i'm gonna continue this fanfic..it isn't coming out like i want it so i may try and scrap it to write another ............ hmmm let me know if you want it to continue or if you think i should dump it ...or if you are undecided ^^ thankyou
