I ended up being volunteered to plan activities for a church gathering - we'll he how my "creative" ideas fly. At least it's an easy crowd. Happy New Years, CAA friends. Hope it's a good one for you all.

I am only going to post here when my time zone has caught up with the aussie in our midst. . .

. . . OH NO! I already HAVE posted here!!! Ahhh!!! *flees*
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

It's 11 in the morning here, so it's not a new year for me yet. ^_^ However, I won't be home when the year changes (I'm going to my youth group's lock in tonight.), so early Happy New Year to you all.

i'm watching tv and on the computer right now, and later will be heading over to my boyfriend's (WhiteKnight23) house to meet with him and his friend for a couple hours before we go to chaperone the lock-in at their church. so i will not be able to be back on when the new year is here.

Akemashie omedetou gozaimasu minna-san! I haven't done anything very different today. I went to two Gamestop stores in search of anime with no luck, did some school (I'm homeschooled and already had my holiday break), and now I'm on the computer doing this and that. Later I will watch a couple rented movies (Darkman 3 (looks crappy but my brother rented it and I'm only watching it so I have something to do while exercising) and Twilight Samurai (looks excellent)). I will stay up late of course, but then that's no new thing for me. ^^;

I gotta get up for work at 8:00 AM tomorrow so once the ball drops I'm hitting the sack. I mean somebody's gotta take care of the animals 365 a year. And ya can't beat time and a half pay. Then I'm going over to my dad's side for our belated Christmas gathering.:)

Happy new year, guys.
