Hidden Dreams and Broken Fears

Postby sonichiro » Tue Dec 28, 2004 2:04 pm

Through guided veils of hidden dreams and broken fears this heart does scream out,
Smoke of ever-lasting nightmares in the paths of life do walk,
The cries of those before warn of the fog to break through the wings of shadow,
Tho i do not scream, call out to hear the voice hidden amongst the silver seas of never-ending faces upon the crowd,
Don't let life be lost among broken fears and hidden dreams that float and fly over fields of shattered sky torn in shades of amber tears,
Inside the grey clouds of yesterday resides this heart, misplaced among the noise of falling down and laying among the fallen leaves of hidden dreams and broken fears,
Yet the passing sun does grow bright and heavy with dying cries of vain cast shadows upon this heart of repetitious tradition,
Let thine words be made whole and footsteps upon betrayed mists of meaningless tread elsware,
But this heart will escape broken fears and hidden dreams of fog and skies below the ripples of displeasing contempt and unwanted layers of scars uncovered from beneath shedded skin of appearances.
-- if white was black and black was white, what of shades of grey?

As always, I know nothing of poetry, other than I know what I like. This is pretty nice. ^_____^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

thankyou tnc! ^__^, my poems usually don't follow a spacific pattern and are kind of hard to understand. this poem does have a bit of a pattern tho, in the first verse it talks of hidden dreams and broken fears then goes on a few verses then talks of broken fears and hidden dreams then goes on a few verses and talks of hidden dreams and broken fears again at the end. mabe a few people understood what it talks about, um its about people who have an outward appearance that seems smug and rude but on the inside there are layers of scars and old wounds that havent healed yet, and everything seems meaningless to them. and this outwardly appearance is what's stopping them from healing and fullfilling their dreams and breaking their fears of being exposed.
