i had a weird dream that a midget came to my house cause somehow coming here would help him get the carpal tunnel surgery he needed. then after that i had a dream of someone who had to get a peg leg for some reason and she tried to go down a ladder and fell (cause she was still figuring out how to use it right) and we had to call an ambulance, the right after that it switched to a friend sitting on a bench making his peanut butter and jelly sandwich talk to me and laughing like crazy. really weird....i musta ate too much before bed....

Hmm... Weird dreams huh, let me get my book (you hear a large thumping sound as the huge block of what used to be wood and is twice as heavy plops onto the table...)

Here's a classic (changing the names to protect my butt!) I dreamt this morning of a lot of strange things. One of them was that I was living in the cooper house, but it was bootcamp (um, don't mind this part... It's something in my past I don't have time to explain). Person A was there, and Person B, and the place was a mess. It was really dark, and something scary was happening. I'm not sure whether there was some sort of strange bug, or there was some kind of monster and we were sorta chasing it through the house. It was a mix between the cooper house, My Brother's house (in texas), and the classroom from Mr. Ex-teacher I didn't like's class. Some things were said about the room being messy. Girl A was there with us (.) Nightmarish color scheme, odd angles (back and forth from first person to third person)

The dream evolved into a game that was being played out in the street, but that was a freaky game. I just remember that there were cursors and not everything looked real. I can remember something like a western. It was a brown, gold, and grey scheme, with the plastic or metal look, not natural for everything that made me think of a video game.

Another scene involved these hand things that came alive and killed people, turning them into metal, as well as turning inanimate objects into metal, like dark iron. It actually ate people, though. I had to run away, and they were everwhere as decoration, and I had to escape them. I ran toward a door that had one of those decorations that hadn't come alive yet, and one ran up behind me, but couldn't fit into the space that I was in, even though another one was already with me. That one came alive, and I got to the door in time. I saw blood splatter, and the door turned all iron. I walked out of the building... The hands were like statues, or something, but they came to life and had the power to turn things to iron.

All of that in one dream... Man, i wish I could record my dreams... I'd make a lot of money selling them to Avant Garde movie directors.

I honestly don't ever remember having a bad dream. However, when I was a little girl (actually up to the age of 12 or so) I would see things coming at me while I was awake. Most of the time they were silhouetted figures with green or red eyes that glowed. They would appear in the doorway and walk towards me...I would lay in bed and pray fervently for them to go away. They would get as far as the foot of my bed..and disappear. ANd then another would appear and so on...Once I fell asleep, which didn't happen soon (unfortunately)--everything was fine and I would wake up the next day. I was afraid of the dark til I was almost 13! Thank God he delivered me from all that. I realize it's not a "nightmare" per se, but it's a waking nightmare-so I guess it's not too off topic.

I go on fighting against the heart to run away...
I go on fighting against that invisible something!"

Hmm... Not sure where you stand on this theology, but it could have been demonic... I believe that these sort of manifestations do happen, but I also believe in Angelic manifestations and manifestations of the Holy Spirit and he's a lot more powerful than Satan and his demons!

The same thing happened to me every night when I was a little kid... A thing would sit on the top of my door, and I could see it's eyes and other than that it was just shadow... It would stay there and I would see everything in a buzz like when you make raspberries, and my dad would come to my door and pray for me or sing and it would go away and I would see normally again...

One problem in the US is that people don't take the supernatural for what it is. Even Christians believe in God and in what's natural, but nothing in between. Then, there are the opposite who cast the soggy demons out of their cereal, and there is a true real midpoint to it... If they could spend some time in non-western countries (like india, in particular) they would see reality hit them like a train if they waited long enough...

I don't believe all dreams are spiritual, but at least some of them are. And that's why it's good to know someone who can interpret dreams...

Some dreams, however, are just that bit of undigested food (hehehe) or even just your memories coming back, albeit in an unorganized way... Actually, most are... It's just for the others that you should pay attention.

Okay, don't laugh, but when I was a little kid I dreamt that one of my dolls was talking to me. It just called me 'mama'.... I was so scared, I woke up screaming.... and another that I was being chased by a giant doll, but I wasn't running fast enough... >_< Well, it was a bad dream for me!

Dreams, detailed acounts of the future?

Postby RefractedAhav » Thu Sep 25, 2003 5:35 pm

The strangest dreams that I'v ever had were the ones where I wake up thinking that the dream was too realistic and then some time with in the next month or even that day the dream comes true to the very last detail.

The worst dreams I have ever had were also very realistic, but the turned out to be warnings of some life threating situatiation that is about to acur.

I have only had two of the last type of dream, and both warnings were observerd and acted upon (obviosly because if they weren't I wouldn't be typing this right now), but I've had quit afew of the first.

The warnings had to come from God and I belive the others did to.
has this happend to anyone else or am i totally alone in this.

Your dreams are a view into your sub-concious.
I often dream I have a problem and I'm all alone.
That's my sub-concious telling me to trust other people more.

Michael, that's true often, but not always. Dreams can also be:

1. God Speaking to us
2.Demonically influenced

though it is usually just ourselves. However, I have also had prophetic dreams (dreams that predicted the future and came true) so it would be pretty hard to tell me that it's only my own subconcious

I rarely ever remember any non-weird dreams either.

Yeah..I remember seeing everything that way to during those times..in a 'buzz' as you call it. Most of the times the shadowed figures is what I would see (with eyes)...But there was one incident that was different. I was sitting up in bed, couldn't sleep...and started to see this eerie fog or mist all around me that seemed to be pouring in from the window. Whether it was or not i don't really know. IT blanketed the floor surrounding my bed. From this "fog"...hundreds of shapes ranging from human to animal began to rise ...they'd float up just past my head and disappear. Meanwhile across from me, on my dresser I could see horrible distorted faces that changed from one to the next very rapidly superimposed on my alarm clock. ...I ran to my brothers room, once I got the courage to leave the bed, and remember that the entire livingroom was filled with the fog and the images rising. Anyway, I told my Dad the next day and he prayed and annointed the house with oil. I never had another exp like that....sigh...I have to admit I am really grateful I never remember dreaming. Being awake was bad enuff for me ^_^

Wow Iesu_no_Senshi that's terrible!!
~Elowen you're not alone* I've had many dreams come true to the exact detail, including waking up the next day and it happening. But I've also had the opportunity to see one option of a choice I would face the next day, and then be able to not do it or do it if it was good. Dreams are mysterious... somethings in dreams can really tell you about yourself.. convicting dreams... and others are just so random... * I've written some down, but most I keep in memory.

IfIWereAnAsian, thanks for letting me know that there is some one else out there who's had those dreams. I've had quit afew people tell me that was just dey ja vou (i don' think I spelled that right  ) but i know that could not be because I rememberd the som of the dreams in detail.

One of these dreams were especialy weird. It was very realistic and accurate but seemingly unbelivable. After almost succesfully convincing my self that it won't ever happen and it almost faded from memory, the most unbelivable clip kept comming to me as clearly more clearly than it was in the dream. These "visions" kept occuring aleast once every hour. The strangest part was once I thought i had finally locked away in the darkest corner of my mind, it came true in exact detail. Even though I had "seen" the scene quite abit throught the day it took me by compleate surprise!

I guess I shouldn't have been so skeptical.

also during some of the days i have a feeling of daja vu were i feel like i have done something in my dreams before during the day. its a weird feeling.

sometimes i feel like theres something watching me or stalking me in the dark. its like a creepy vibe. one time i saw red eyes but i couldn't make out what it was. but when this happend i had the same feeling.

Hmm interesting dreams...yall got.

One of the horrible dream I've ever drempt this year:
I was walking to get in my house and I open this door slowly. It was hard to see inside. The outside is not dark, it was sorta evening. The guy who got the knife in his hand was already inside in the house. He came up to me too fast. Then, he slit my throat without letting me to defend myself. Then I saw myself lying on the floor with a pool of blood around her. In that dream, I feel no pain.

I had one once where aliens took over the bodies of everyone I know, and they were out to get me next! Eventually, I woke up, only to discover I hadn't really woke up. The dream started all over again...

Every once in a while I have a zombie related dream. (Resident Evil, Night of the Living Dead, House of the Dead, ect.) One of the freakiest ones was where Nemesis was chasing me through a bunch of twisting, turning, endless hallways. Another RE dream I had that was rather amusing, Umbrella created a new virus that created, dancing, yes, DANCING, zombies. Image

My dreams... are all weird. I'm not sure I've ever had a dream that came directly from God. My dreams... seem to be my subconcious telling me stuff. Sometimes, I think I can figure it out.

I've had the occasional realistic dream... like when I was IN boot camp, and having trouble with my drills... I'd have dreams about practicing my drills. (I wound up a boot camp washout, anyway... )

I haven't had one in a while, but I remember having a number of dreams about cannibalism. My dreams are typically... my parents are cannibals and are trying to get me to eat human flesh. I think these dreams have something to do with conformity... that I don't want to be what my parents want me to be - that I know that I'll never be all that they want me to be, that I'll always be "wierd", but I want to be... I want to be my own person. I think that is what those are about, anyway.

I had this one dream where i was standing on this wooden platform and these demons that looked like black dogs with read eyes were after me and i fell so i was hanging down. Then one of the demons bit me in the neck and i didn't feel pain but i smelt blood and felt the blood running down my neck. I remember almost every deatil from colors to smells of that dream. I had 2 otheres like it, always invovling evil or demons. The third i can't rmember but i remember the second well and it invovled kids being beheaded by a guy with a giant sythce (i know it's not spelled right) I always remember my dreams, at leasr most of the time. I have dreams alot but they ususually aren't that creepy!

I often have dreams that someone/thing is after me, and I am always running. The other type I have is that I am up somewhere high, and I fall (I always wake up before I hit the ground or get caught/killed). I have come to the conclusion that either I am avoiding something in my life - I am running away from it, and for the other, that I'm trying to be so good, but someday all the vain images of grandeur some people have for me will come crashing down, because it's not real - like the dream. So yeah, I definitely agree with you, Michael.

I often have "bad" dreams, although they were much more frequent when I was a child. Since I was constantly reading horror novels/stories and watching horror movies from a young age, I have a lot of nightmare material with which to work. Perhaps the dreams are manifestations of traumatic events in my life expressed through the horror imagery that is already present in my mind. At any rate, they are all very "realistic," meaning that they are in full color with no cartooney graphics, pixels, etc. I cannot recall ever having anything that could properly be called a prophetic dream. I've listed a few of my nightmares on the other dream threads, so I will share some new ones here :) :

The other day I watched the movie "Session 9" (a good scary movie, btw ;) ) and in one scene, a man is in an abandoned insane asylum in the dead of night looting a stash of old silver dollars and other metal valuables from the building. Earlier in the movie, one of the characters explains that sometimes the inmates come back to the abandoned asylum after they are released, so you know that something is going to happen. As the guy is leaving, he hears noises, and as he looks back down a hallway, he sees an onimous shadowy figure. He starts running like crazy, then realizes that it was just some birds (even though the figure is clearly visible, just to mess with your mind). As he rounds a corner, he sees something, and then it's over (i.e. he's dead :P). Anyway, later that night I imagined that the same thing happend to me in my house (while I was awake). I often have these kinds of experiences, because I go to bed later than anyone in the house, and I usually have to go down starts to get something in the dark. If our wood stove is lit, then it also looks like a pair of red eyes watching you from the corner of the roof if you see it out of the corner of your eye, which is always how you see it as you go up the stairs.

The next one comes straight from a book, and more or less gives away the ending, so...
In the end of the book, Smith (the main character) is being put through the final stages of thought reform by O'Brien at the minstry of love (which, ironically, is charged with law enforcement, torture, and punishment). The idea of the final stage of the reform is to get Smith to betray that which he holds dear, in order to crush his emotional attachment to the woman he loves. They do this by making Smith confront his deepest, darkest fear: rats. They but a large wooden box over his head, with rats on each side reading to be loosed upon him if he refuses to submit. He of course can't stand it, and says that he hates the woman he loves. Anyway, I dreamed that the same thing happened to me, except the cage was filled with tarantulas. That one actually scared me, especially since I had a rather troubling thought in the back of my mind: if someone did this to me, could they make me deny Christ?
A lot of my dreams also deal with fighting, and I always win.
