Postby Crossdive » Mon Nov 08, 2004 9:04 pm

mine are:

The Passion of the Christ
Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2
Daredevil
The Punisher
X-Men
X2: X-Men United
Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers (but not in a sad way)
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (generally in a sad way)
Pocket Monsters: the first movie

that's about all I can remember right now...

for now i can only think of three:

the passion
left behind(made me think of my life then)
a walk to remember(i'm a sucker for love)
"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things... hey... the good things don't always soften the bad things; but vice-versa the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant." -11th Doctor

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close

I've never cried for a movie, anime, manga, or book. I've gotten close on several occasions, but nothing particular comes to mind. All I can think of is laughing hysterically at the end of Titanic.

Edit: my 1000th post! *dances*

Pokemon: The First Movie
Pokemon Heroes brought me very close, as did The Last Samurai, but I think the first Pokemon is the only film that has caused tears to roll down my face.

The only movie I have ever cried in was Independence Day when Will Smith's character and his girlfriend got married. I think it had something to do with their cute son's expressions or something. Weird I know.
Passion of the Christ made me feel nasueous and really feel like crying, but I didn't quite get to the actual crying stage.

Oh, I forgot. I've cried in Return of the King also. Its when Frodo says, "I can't make it Sam", (or something to that effect) and Sam replies, 'then I will carry you' (or something to that effect) and it reminded me so much of what Jesus does for us. The most beautiful and important part of the movie I reckon.

Thats cool Tintin, but Independence Day... what the?

I also get kinda sad watching Disney/Dreamworks movies, like the Iron Giant and other ones, but they are more like joy-sad.

I've never really cried during a movie but ones that made me get misty/tear up are...

Saving Private Ryan (When you see Ryan at the beginning it reminds me so much of my grandfather's face when he talks about his days in the Pacific)

Antoine Fisher (When Denzel tells Derek Luke he loves him, when he finally meets his mother, and at the end with his grandmother)

I almost cried during Pirates of the Carribean. Mainly due to Orlando Bloom's acting. (Yeah, I know, that was bad. ;) )

Grave of the Fireflies is the second movie to make tears pour down my face. And I believe it's the first to make me cry the first time I saw it.

The closest I've come to crying is maybe a few tears...But ones that got me choked up were.

Grave Of The Fireflies
A Walk To Remember
The Christmas Shoes
Rurouni Kenshin: Memories...It was almost as sad as Grave of the Fireflies...Which I think was probably the saddest movie I've ever seen.

I cry at just about every movie I see... I'm so emotional. However, the movie I've cried the most through is "A Walk to Remember. " I have never cried so much in a movie theatre before. T_T

YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Oh, yeah! In the theater, I was already crying, but I completely lost it at that point.

I will cry during any movie that is close to well-written. Actually, there is an exception to that--I cried during the Christy movies.
