Fantastic Four consists of:
Mr Fantastic- has the ability to stretch (Elastigirl)
The Invisible Woman- can turn invisible and create force fields (Violet)
The Thing- very strong as has a stone body (similar to Mr. Incredible in strength)
The Human Torch- the ability to set his body on fire (similar to Jack Jack for a brief second)

Famous heroes with super speed are The Flash and Quicksilver.

Now that I've seen the movie, I can finally vote! ^^

I voted for Dash because if I could have any of their powers, I like his the most. Plus, he's just cool.

And Mr. Anderson, you're scaring me with UC's avatar. I am so confused. XD

Elasti-Girl is actually the name of a DC heroine, but she doesn't stretch, she can both shrink and grow. The stretching is left to Elongated Man and Plastic Man.

After finally seeing this movie, I believe my vote must go to Mr. Incredible. Despite being your typical super-strength superhero, he wasn't a muscle-bound idiot, did (and said) quite a few smart things and was a generally very nice guy. Also, I thought it was bitter irony that
he is first checking on his wife and Frozone on Syndrome's computer while his wife is convinced he's cheating on her.
DASH!!! He's the man! I loved the track meet at the end. I laughed so hard i about fell out of my seat. Dash rocks. ^^

Violet is cool, too. If I was to pick any of the incredables powers, it would be hers. It would be so awesome to be able to disapear. X3

That is an interesting question: if you could have any power, which one would you select?

Personally, I would select Dash, though I am not the greatest fan of his character. Speed is an incredible ability, technically able to overcome nearly any other obstacles. You could probably search a room for an invisible person in a few seconds.

I'm still going with Jack Jack's shapeshifting. ^_^ I could go as the T-1000 for Halloween.

You know what... now that I think about it, I'd like Dash's power best. Because I'm a runner, haha, and I'd never have to worry about bringing my times down again. And I could actaully get to school on time! Just think... of all the time I could save! Man!

I'd go with Violet. Her powers are preactical. We all have those "I wish I could just sink into the floor" moments, and being able to turn yourself invisible would work just as well. And those force fields would be really helpful when I babysit!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

a practical thought, Dash looks alot like Johny the human toarch. at least his old comics. I have no idea about anything recent since i really dont like the fantastic four.

If I could ave a super power of my choice, I would be able to control water the same way Magneto (X-Men) controls metal. Just think of it! there is water evry where! 2/3 of the earths surface is covered by it. Oh the possibilities!

Well, the obvious choice for me is to have the trifecta - flight, super strength, and invulnerability. I doubt Superman could be undone by his cape.

Mixing invisibility with intangibility would be interesting, too. You could neither be seen or be felt.

Well that depends...

If I could have any power, I could choose omnipotence. However, that is the same as saying that I would hav every power, so I won't leave it at that.

If I could have the powers of any superhero, I would probably choose mind control, because then you could force anyone to do anything, no matter what powers they had.

If I could have the powers of any of the Incredibles, I would choose those of Mr.Incredible.

I voted for the super mom, Elastigirl. ^____^ Second I would pick Dash or Violet; I'm pretty undecided.

YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I believe that, in the context of this thread, only the powers of superheros featured in the film at hand were up for grabs. Because yes, otherwise, I see no reason why everyone would not ask for omnipotence.

Meanwhile, that is a rather strange idea: Omnipotent Man. It would make for either an extremely philisophical or dull series.

I wouldn't really want to be omnipotent. Too much responsibility. What would you do with your power? Force everyone to behaive?

I have to say after seeing the movie I knowl I am watching a computer animated movie but it gives you the feeling of live action.
The feelings of the charactors and their life. Who wouldn't like to beable to grab a nasty boss and throw him through a few walls.
Acourse you get to see what it would be like if super heros marry and have children and what life would be to keep their super powers secret.
I sure would like to know what super powers Edna Mole had before she went into hiding as a super hero clothing designer.
I would hope that Disney and Pixar have plans for a The Incredibles 2.
Just imagine Voilet saving the World while dating in high school, Dash in middle school, Jack Jack in kinder-garten or the before that the terrible twos.
What if Mr Incredible or Elastic Girl have brothers or sisters. How about mother in laws and father in laws visiting.
What if Mirage gets a job working for the Government as a good person maybe working for Edna.
I would have to say Mr Incredible and Elastic Girl had to be my favorite ones in the movie even thou Freezezone didn't get much of a showing in the movie. I did like the scene where he is yelling at the wife about his supersuit and coming into the fight against the robot.

I disagree, actually. Superman is limited, and generally fights villains of a caliber far higher than most other heros. Whereas Omnipotent Man is, by definition, completely unstoppable. Also, I have to give the later writers of the Superman series credit for exploring the psychological ramifications of being so "perfect"; in my mind they make up for the earlier writers.
