possesed rubber ducks and holy sandwiches...

Talk about anything in here.

possesed rubber ducks and holy sandwiches...

Postby Tenshi no Ai » Wed Nov 17, 2004 5:39 pm

Yup... you read the title right. Those are just a few items that sold on Ebay!

Read this one in my local paper under the international section... very amusing...
http://www.kron4.com/Global/story.asp?S=2574328

Then it reminded me of THIS thing that was also sold on Ebay some time ago (sure, it didn't sell quite as high as the first item, but the story posted on there is... rather... yeah :/)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5508453273

Sandwich also reminds me of the time with my great aunt. She had paint on a stub of where a branch of her tree used to be, and at just the right time she took a photo, and the paint almost appears to look like Jesus... I did see the picture and it actualy sort of does. (Priest came by and said that her house was blessed *shrugges* Don't think she's a believer though).

I dunno, sometimes I wonder how nutso the world's turning!

lol, wow. i wonder about people sometimes.

the rubber duck story gave me goosebumps... reminds me of something out of a Frank Peretti book...

my family has a picture floating around our house somewhere that we were given that someone took that shows an image in the clouds of Mary on a donkey.

Some people will believe anything....

I wonder if I can sell off my pre-worn socks on eBay for a good price by listing them as "possessed". :P

Exactly, Azier. Exactly.

But why in the world would someone spend 107 dollars for a rubber duck? Possessed or not? Crazy world. *sigh*

What I don't get is this: if you actually believed it was possessed, why would you want it near you? (Barring demon-worshippers.)

Oh, um, do y'all think there'd be anything wrong with selling--um, other possessed rubber ducks? I mean-- if people are dumb enough to believe it, well, that's not my fault!

And to get 107 dollar for it!? That's hillarious. (My cousin once sold the lid to a milk jug on ebay. The guy who bought it payed shipping and everything. *sigh* People are stupid.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. I have to agree with Aka, this gentleman should make this into a short story, he's a very creative writer - a regular Stephen King.

I wonder why he set the price for the duck at $107.50? :eyebrow: hmmm... I did however, get a creepy feeling as I stared at the duck. ....

And, that grilled cheese sandwich reminded me much more of Marlene Deitrich smoking a cigarette; not to mention, how'd they know what the Virgin Mary looked like?

Great stuff, Tenshi! Beware of the ducky!XDXDmwahahaha

Well, apparently, someone didn't spend 107 dollars for the rubber duck. The winning bidder reneged.

I wonder if any of the bidders actually believed the story? I wanna sell creepy stories on eBay... Oh, uh, I mean, I wanna sell legitimate items and tell everyone the creepy true stories behind them! Yeah! :thumb:

Oh, yeah. That would work great.

Headline for item: This is a knife with a very interesting story.

Item description:

This knife, the very one you will bid on and buy in this auction, was used by none other than me, an obscure figure of no real consequence, to cut vegetables!!! *enter horror music* No one can say how many innocent and inannimate onions were skinned alive (or rather, skinned --- uprooted?) by me, the Onion Axing Fiend! Buy this knife and own a piece of vegetable horror history------- if you dare.

Actually, I think I might try that. It would be fun. Anyways, my cousin sold the top to a milk jug on ebay for two bucks. If that can sell, surely my SUPER SPOOKY ONION AXING STORY(tm) could sell.

*thinks of slave auction fundrasising I did at church* I hope it's for that reason... hate to see what sort of things the person that bought them would actualy use them for >_< Lots of sick puppies around...

But that also reminds me of something else... mail order brides/husbands! Not sure how many of the guys would sell themselves for husbands, as to girls trying to move to America from Asia when they sign up for the program... Hmmm how much does a wife/husband cost?

Don't know, but my great grandfather started writting letters to some random woman in Florida, and, after a few months, he went down there and married her. Luckily for him, she was older thaan 18 and younger than 80.

I read that duck story and as I was reading it right on the scary part my mom yelled out "Oh my gosh!" I turned around and there was the duck sitting right on Pita-Ten....O_o

But then I found out it was a joke my mom was playing on me (I'll get revenge, mehe  )

Still a very scary story though I think i'll forever hate rubber ducky's now. :P
