Odd how everyone is still able to find that address--when Omega Amen asked me my questions in my bio thread, he pointed me there too. It was supposed to have been deleted a long time ago, and yahoo told me it was. :eyebrow:

At any rate, that was a long, long time ago, and as you can see my webskills were not very good (back in those days, I changed the layout myself every month or so when I updated the roster O.o) BTW, that isn't the FIRST page ever--that's like version 7.

And as for my "fun-loving" side, it's not like I've hidden it or anything....

I've seen this before. I was like--- hey! THAT'S SOME SUPER OLD CAA!! How funny!

But I really think it was a cute layout, Ashley-chan. ;) Nothing to be ashames of.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Riana? Is that your real name Ash?

Just the opposite ZiP. I went by Riana online for quite some time because I happened to like the way it sounded. I know it sounds retarded, but I really was convicted to go with my real name for CAA because I wanted people to be able to ID me if they ran into me in real life. I still use Riana on other sites, though. Although I have had people ask if my middle intial is for Riana

My poor blog...that things needs to be badly updated. But then again, who's doesn't? XD And wow, you think that's time capsule material? O.o;;

That is SO cool! *bookmarks it*
Wow, that is so encouraging to see both of your first webpages...I've been so frustrated with web designing lately. I think I just try to start doing all of this complicated stuff and then I find myself in a huge mess ^^;;;

I actually kind of like it better...it's just so...comfy and un-professional looking. I don't mean that as an insult, it actually makes it feel more close-knit and friendly (and not huge and scary ^^;;;)

Now, with all the experience you have and how big this has gotten, you have become really intimidating, heheh....o_O At least for me, that is...meep *hides*

*prays* Thanks so much God for showing me this...I was really close to giving up on web design altogether. ^_______^

Before anyone else wrongly sings my praises, I didn't make the layout myself. I should have specified that earlier I suppose--I found the HTML template at a design site and edited the title bar, that's all. Yay for me, I can add text to pictures! XD

But for all it's home-y-ness and nostalgia, that CAA was going nowhere. We were small, with no communication between any of the members and no real impact in the world. It was just a gathering place, a spark, but I had no idea where God would lead it. I only knew He was asking me to go along. This CAA, while it may seem big and huge, still has a family sense to it, I think. The members help each other out, pray for one another, laugh and joke and discuss common interests together--and that's something the "old" CAA never had. We also have some real outreachs in the work, none of which could have been possible with the old system. So yes things have changed, but guess what? It's all for the better. And better things are still to come, just trust me.

Oh, and don't be scared of me. Just because my name is red doesn't mean I'm not willing to answer random PM's or joke around in trivia threads. Heck I am the youngest staffer out of all of us by at the very least 2 or 3 years. I am STILL learning things about the way God wants me to lead CAA and the direction He wants to see it go in. So I'm certainly nothing to meep at.

THAT, is a huge, very super sorry typo, i changed it right after i posted it up, but it seems poeple read it already, I accidently didn't put NOT boring.

I sooo didn't mean that, i always forget, NOT, NO, ISN"T, doesn't, so i get in all sorts of trouble on IMs and e-mails

examples: no i'm gay!
instead of: no i'm not gay!

examples: erica you look fat at all
instead of: no erica you DON'T look fat at all

examples: jesus would say that
instead of: jesus wouldn't say that

examples: well the thing is I can go tomorrow
instead of: well the thing is I can't go tomorrow

examples: your ugly at all
instead of: your not ugly at all

As you can tell from my mistakes, i get many many slaps, bumps, and unhappy faces from freinds (preferably girls) (girls are more violent :shady: ) but to help balance this out, i've invested in a very nice health insurance plan, it'll be there for me.

Hey, that's kind of cool. That proves good things can come from small places. Seeing how a small community like CAA transformed and prosper into a huge success. If you check out the roster page (http://www.geocities.com/canimealliance/roster.html) you can see how big this community has grown, from 21 members to over 1500+. They must be doing something right. There's a reason for everything; and this community only has room to grow. It's just so cool to see a good thing like this to grow as it did. :P

Here is a quote from the first mission statement:
" Another final reason for starting this is because of all the Christ-minded websites out there, I've yet to come across one that has even touched on Anime....If you're interested in joining this little group, it's simple. You don't have to be a Christian. You don't have to be an anime fan."

I guess it's fair to say that there is now a website that talks about God, anime and much more. And what's cool is it's still easy to sign up. Although CAA isn't a small group anymore.... :P

THAT, is a huge, very super sorry typo, i changed it right after i posted it up, but it seems poeple read it already, I accidently didn't put NOT boring.

Hence the quick edit button was created. I edit almost 99% of my post due to the simple fact I do more typos than anyone else I know.

Edit: I don't believe that the original CAA had the quick edit option did they? Is it correct to say this is a fairly new add-on?
(As you can see the quick edit button comes in handy :P)

While it would be nice to have a soulmate, I simply don't care about relationships at all. It's not a major goal in my life. You could literally have a the most drop-dead gorgeous sexy woman in front of me and I would most likely not even notice at all. Wierd, but true.
