Eww, nails on a chalkboard you say!? Umm, maybe I should watch that one subtitled.(heh, heh) Have any of you watched the subbed version? I watched it on the first dvd and noticed that some of the dialogue was a bit different from the english one.

I've watched a few subbed but my eyes hurt after two eps from reading all the subs.

Yeah, it's a really good series. I've only seen the first 12 episdoes lol, but I totally agree. Tohru looks past the image & into the heart

I don't know an exact release date, but I checked the Tokyopop website and their press release said it was going to be a 2004 release, soooo looks like everyone will have to wait a while :sniffle:

...of course there's always the possibility that they'll make it sooner.*hopes*
I've only seen the first 6 eps, but I've already ordered the 2nd dvd and I'm thinking of going ahead and ordering vol. 3 too. I really wanna see the rest of the series! :waah!:

Tohru has to be my favorite shoujo anime main character. She shows just about every good character trait I can think of and she doesn't come off as too annoying or dumb. *cough, Sailor Moon and Miaka, cough*^^; I like most of the other characters from FB too. Well, the ones I can remember from the manga. I'm not really sure how I feel about Akito though. I think he's mean and manipulative, but then again I feel really sorry for him, so oh well.

I only felt sorry for him when Tohru pointed out how miserable he must be, and that his burden must be very hard to bear. But .. the anime never really went into depth about the Sohma curse, the entire show was about character development. I mean, it worked quite nicely, but on my second (or third ... ) run through FB, did I really start wondering how and why all this happened. Does the manga explain this a little more in depth?

After seeing you guys rave about it for, oh, ABOUT 4 PAGES, I decided to buy Vol. 1; except I got a small problem.

I can't remember exactly how many chapters I read of the manga, but I don't remember the manga really getting that deep into the how/why of the Sohma's curse either. Of course, I'm not really sure how reliable my memory is, since it's been a while. Sorry :sniffle:

And for Master Kenzo:
The Fruits Basket dvds from vol1 to 4 are:
1. A Great Transformation
2. What Becomes of Snow
3. Puddles of Memories
4. Clearing Sky
I'm still working on getting all of them though.

Well, I know the first 2 dvds have 6 eps, and I think the last 2 have 7 since it's a 26 episode series. I think they should put more eps per dvd for other series too, but oh well.

My friend made AMV's with Fruits Basket clips and I thought the series looks good so I found it in sam Goodies (for 40!) and then a few weeks later we got the 1st one. Eventually I got all of em (cuz Sun Coast had is cheeper) So did anyone see all of the series yet?

Yes, sadly enough, I was enough of a nut to stalk my Suncoast on the days that they were supposed to be released. So yeah, I have the entire series, and you can bet your life that I've watched them all.

Oh yes I have seen them all. Some episodes more then once.

Originally my sister and I bought them but then she had a hostile takeover (aka she bought the ones I owned) so now I can only see them when I go home.

I think I am going to have to make audio clips of my favorite parts in the series so I can listen to them on my computer when I "need my Fruits Basket fix" LOL!
