I think this will be interesting...
Just tell us who you think the best is, with an explanation maybe. IF I missed you character, just click other...
Yep that's it
Edit:I meant to make this a poll, silly me. I guess I'm just trigger happy. Just forget all that "other" business

Sojiro Seta is one of my favorite characters, but more as just a character than villain. Saitoh, being the anti-hero that he is, just had an aura of coolness around him.

The one character I'm looking forward to checking out in the Enishi.

Aside from all that, probably my favorite non-redeemed or full fledged villain would probably be Jin'e Udo, at least until I see Shishio in action again.

From what I saw of him in the Manga before his burns, I have a feeling he could fall under that classification.

I've never seen that, but so far Mr. Bandages doesn't look... too appealing :/

I'd probably say that my fav. villian is Aoshi... if he's even concidered a bad guy. *shrugs* Last I read, he was seen wandering in the forest (and that was around vol. 4). Even then, he was not even a "villan" in a sense.

I like Saitou the best. He's got a great sword style, rocks the police uniform, and has that awesome motto "Aku soku zan". And I love to hear him and Sano bicker.

But Jin'e had the best fashion sense. By far.

ohhoho....the bad boys of RK this time

I've checked out RK right til the end and I nominate...

Saitou Hajime as the best villian! XD Yeah go Aku Soku Zan! Well, he's really more of an anti-hero, but he's just the best. He can kick butt, he's got a sense of honor and he's just plain cool. He's not really a bishie but he's so cool, I'll overlook that.

Soujiro is my second fav. villian ...but then again, if you've watched the whole Shishio arc, he's not really such a bad guy either (no spoilers :P ). But he could kick butt very well and he's just so cute. lol

Hmm...come to think of it, Aoshi and even Enishi aren't really villians per se, since they all had their own reasons for their twisted philosophies and went against Kenshin for that. I guess I'll label anyone who goes against Kenshin as a 'villian'. haha

I think the only person who was really a villian all the way was Shishio aka Mr. Bad Mummy and
that dude whom battousai has to fight in order to save Tomoe
.

Yes, Shishio was quite good looking before he got burnt. But he's a little too evil for me. ^__^;;

Since we're talking about anti-heroes too, I like Anji the Destroyer. The Futai no Kiwami is one of the coolest attacks ever. Of course Saito is still the coolest, but Anji is second in my book.

For straight out villains, I think I'd go for Jin-e.

I don't consider Saitou a "bad guy" per se so I won't name him (althoug he is my favorite character period). But, as far as bad guys go, for the TV show, it's Seta Soujirou and for the manga it's Yukishiro Enishi. Enishi was nuts. Soujirou snapped a little, but overall, Enishi was more insane and a darn good villain.
I'm a shoe-in for hater of the year.

Though I doubt he's a "bad guy," my fav. villian would be Shinomori Aoshi, the leader of the Oniwabanshuu clan. He's slick, and one of the fews who can hold his ground against Kenshin. :)

Shishio Makoto is one of the best anime villains period in my opinion.

Saitou Hajime, hands down:

1. Everytime someone says "Shinsen gumi sanbantai taijou Saitou Hajime"
2. Everytime he goes into gatotsu stance and goes "Ikuzou!"
3. Everytime he bites his glove
4. Everytime he says "Ahou"
5. Everytime he orders plain soba

Sooooo coooool....

I'm the third. ^^; Actually, it's more of a love/hate relationship. I love him 'cause he fights so good and he is just so cool, but I can't stand the fact that he hurt Kenshin!

My second favorite villain would have to be Aoshi. Gotta love that trench coat! =D

I's say Saitoh, when he's not working with Kenshin, umm alot of them were pretty cool, but i think Saitoh is the best, maybe...

I think it's maybe a tie between Saito and Aoshi for me. Both of them gave Kenshin a hard time, when this one thinks he's like the best and can't be tricked, they come along... This might be also because I haven't got the next manga yet....must have Rurouni Kenshin #8.(heart of sword, you are so unfair)
You're jokin', right, Kireihana? Hyottoko a bishie? um... Maybe the world will start spinning right tomorrow.

Hanya and Hyottoko weren't bad though.

The best bad guy is Kaoru. [/joking]

Just thought of one, looking at Sephiroth's sig.

Although Shishio tops my list since he is the epitome of everything Kenshin isn't, I must give an honorable mention to Okita Soushi. Though he isn't "evil" to the extent of Shishio or even Saitou and Aoshi, he nevertheless was Kenshin's enemy, and Kenshin is the "good" guy so that would make him a bad guy. I know you may not know who Okita is. He is in the Samurai X OAV'S (not those God-awful Seisshouhen ones) and is shown briefly in the TV/Manga. He is the captain of first squad of the Shinsensgumi, and was one of the three Shinsengumi whom Kenshin couldn't defeat (the other being Saitou, of course). What makes him stand out to me more is that he suffers from Tuberculosis. Now, at that time, TB was an incurable disease, and some describe TB as "trying to breathe with an elephant standing on your chest." Apparently, Okita had TB before he became a Shinsengumi, but nevertheless managed to hide it and skewer some Ishin Shishi all the while. So, here we have a guy who feels like an elephant standing on his chest and with a bleeding cough who nevertheless was able not only to stand his ground against the Ishin Shishi's greatest assassin, but also give him a hard time. I'm sure if Okita didn't have TB he could best anyone in Rurouni Kenshin except possibly Hiko Seijurou.

The Shinsengumi were against getting rid of the Tokugawa Shogunate, weren't they? O.o And Kenshin wanted to get rid of them.
And I forgot about Okita! ^^ He's so cute!

Tokugawa hired greatest swordsmen of Edo, when people started to have negative feels of the Tokugawa shogunate. So the Shimsengumi was to protect itself and counteract those who supported the emperor.

Now looking back at it. I thought Shinsengumi were for good, but I guess they are a mix group in a way. I know that the real Saitou Hajime had a hero reputation, because he killed several corrupt members of the Shinsengumi and policts even after the war.

Oh yeah... I just read about him briefly in seven. I don't remember the book saying he had TB. So that's why! He was a bishie!
