I still need to remember to pick up a box from church! I've been doing it for the past two years (mom pitched out and helped too) so yeah I should do it again.

Very good cause. Do it now! Our church collected the boxes early October. We gave one for a girl and one for a boy. It helps bring a smile to someone!

Last year our church collected 30 shoe boxes. Our goal this year is 50. We would do more but at the same time we collect Prisoner Packs to be sent to state prisons through our state convention. Our goal for is 25 packs and hopefully we will exceed both.

If you are in the Charlotte, NC area they can also use volunteers to check the shoe boxes and prepare them for shipment overseas.

That is so cool. I wish there were more programs like that. The only thing that gets me is people only seem to help others during the holiday season. It really needs to be a year around thing. But none the less, good cause. I wonder if our church has something like that.... Guess I'll go check :P

My church is doing Operation Christmas Child and so is my Y-Club for our community project next month. Can't you just use the video they already have?

^_^ I went to a Christian Academy last year, and the school participated in that. Unfortunately I had to switch schools around that time and missed out on it, but now that I know about it I want to help out by doing that this year.
