Vote for the Christian Anime Alliance!

Postby Rogie » Mon Nov 01, 2004 5:33 pm

I hope this is okay, and that no one else has done it (my search returned nothing), but Anime Fringe is hosting a top 25 anime sites contest where people can vote for their fave anime site.

I'm not sure what type of site Anime Fringe is (I've never really visited it much), but Anime on DVD was calling for votes, so I thought I would post the news here for people to vote for CAA. It's animefringe.com, and the link to the voting area is on the right-hand side of the page.

Perhaps if CAA places somewhere on the list, one lost soul might find their way here and perhaps gain a relationship with Christ.

It's all about the optimism!! :thumb:

Where could one find this site? ^_^

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

www.animefringe.com

You have to put down three sites in order to vote, so I put down anime angels to fill a spot even though I don't go there. abcb.com got my other vote.

Interesting. Considering that Anime Fringe is a basically clean site and that they encourage websites to urge their user bases to vote, I believe this thread is completely acceptable. In fact, I will sticky this thread for that purpose.

As you said, if even one person finds this site, the effort will have been worth it.

I voted, you should too! You have tyo list three sites, so vote for Anime Angels, too (animeangels.net). We Christian anime sites must stick together. Someone needs to make a "Get out the Vote" banner thingy that we can stick in our sigs to remind everybody to vote!*goes off in search of a person capable of making buttony banner things*
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Wow, it's nice to get the ball rolling on these things.

And a thread I began got a sticky! Woohoo! :jump: A personal triumph at last!

... *ahem* Sorry, I tend to get excited easily about the silliest things.

Just vote, people! :thumb:

Would you believe that at the time I voted I couldn't think of a third site, so I put "about:blank" in the last field? Why, oh why, didn't I put "Hamtaro.com?" *shakes head in disbelief*

After entering animefringe.com, look to the upper right corner, then pan down roughly an inch. There should be a small icon that says "the anime fringe top 25" and features a hand making a peace sign. Click it to vote.

Personally, I have to wonder how much of a user base we have compared to other sites, and how high we can get on the lists.
