:waah!: I's don't have any yet :?:
"Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
and things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul."

I just finished the first Ranma 1/2, then I read Marmalade boy 2. I plan to borrow the next Marmalade boy and buy the 2nd Ranma 1/2 real soon. :)

Sadly, just Shonen Jump. With everything else, I'm just trying to get ahold of old copies that I haven't read.

Kriz, Ryuroden is to what volume now? Please tell me there's an end in sight.... (Dang it! Shiro, Masumi, will they ever be together!?!)

I'm with UC, reading Shonen Jump. I'm also reading HxH, Bleach, Bremen, Blame!, and VoH. But yeah... they're mangascans.... But hey, I had the mangascans of DBZ and I STILL bought the english translated volumes! I'm dying for a hardcopy of Blame! too.....

I don't own any real manga, Yea I know what kinda anime Fan Am I. Really the only thing I've been reading well really probally the only manga I read is Megatokyo. But I just haven't been able to find or get my hands on any manga. Hopefully when I hit Anime Gamers in LA I will pick some manga up if I don't spend all my B-day money on DVD's Because I've been deprived of anime for along time because I've not had a DVD player.

I just read the first volume of a new series called Alien Nine. Has anyone else heard of it or tried it yet? I plan to keep buying it.

It's an extremely cute but fairly weird story about 6th grade girls who wear symbiotic aliens on their heads and go around rounding up and capturing aliens. Despite its cuteness, there are some parts that are a bit darker and the manga rating is 16+.

Let me know how it is, Kirika--I'm somewhat interested in that one.
I just picked up v.3 of CCS: Master of the Clow :jump: and the first volume of X. I have never read that one before but am looking forward to it.

Hmmm. Is that the same as X/1999? I read that some time back. By CLAMP, isn't it? It wasn't bad at all, though the action was only slightly above average.

I'm currently watching the anime of it. I have read that the manga is much better than the anime, though. And the darker tendencies are in the anime as well. Kinda freaky ....

Yes, it's the same thing, and yes, it is by CLAMP. I'm still reading the Sakura manga, I haven't started X yet. I'm hoping for heavy character development and interaction, great art, and a solid story. If it meets those qualifications, then only slightly above average action is okay by me. ;)

And Gypsy, let me know if you think the anime of Alien Nine is worth buying, or whether you'd recommend renting it first to preview it. I really enjoyed the manga, it was instantly one of my favorites. I'm looking forward to the next volume. It's a unique blend of weirdness and cuteness.

Ok, I'll be sure to do that. I might even pick up the manga so I can do the whole compare/contrast thing.

Right now just the ones in Shonen Jump. I don't get to the mall that often to buy different ones. I am looking forward to Rurouni Kenshin coming out (if I heard right, it's sometime in the next couple of months (crosses fingers)).
God bless 'til next time!

I have:
DragonBall 2-5 and Gundam Wing 2 (borrowed it from a friend and it ended up falling apart on me-so I ended up buying her a new one)
I absolutely loooove DragonBall (not DragonBall Z). I love the art and briliant story telling and humorous fighting scenes...In fact I would probably buy all of them if it wasn't for the occasional dirty humour (watch out for volume 6). As it is, I just buy the Tenkaichi Badukai ones (or I'm planning to buy these). Manga is definitaly not cheap. I also just read Cowa by Akira Toriyama(DragonBall). It was really cute. Surprisingly, the whole story is contained in only 1 vol.. I didn't know they had "only 1 vol." mangas. There's some pretty good scans (of mangas that aren't sold in English) at http://www.toriyamaworld.com
Mangas I want to get are:
Rurouni Kenshin vol. 1
One Piece vol. 1
DragonBall vol. 11-16
Let's see...that's ...$$$$ O_O

Just started Cyborg009.
Local store had a buy 3 get one free deal, so I picked up Cyborg009 as well as Astro Boy, Sailor Moon and Lone Wolf and Cub. So far Cyborg009 is quite good.

I'm trying to read a bunch of old school manga, so if anyone can reccomend some classics of the form, let me know. I want to get a good understanding of the artform as a whole, so I'm trying to balance new manga with old.

Currently reading Gundam Wing - Ground Zero, despite the fact its written shoujo style, I actually like it so far. The plot is interesting and it has quite a bit of humor to it as well. Pity it seems so short though.
