Going to church. I believe Christians shouldn't celebrate and condone Halloween.

Our fellowship went over to the house of one of our members. We talked, played games (mainly a game called DMZ) and had cider and donuts. I dressed up as Zorro, but only four of us wore costumes...

Our church is having a Trunk Or Treat as a safe alternative for the children in the community. Of course we struggled with having it on Sunday night. However, we realized that most of the unchurched children would be out trick or treating so we felt it was an appropriate time for evangelization. We will have games, candy and an evangelistic presentation.

I'll be sitting at home hiding from people. :forehead: I don't really have much to do for Halloween. I'd love to hang out with friends or something, but...eh. Don't have many of those.

My girlfriend and I are going over to my friends house to hang out with them.

I will be going to my church's Trunk and Treat thing. I am going as a ninja. It is just dress up, not the satanic stuff. It is just a fall fest/halloween alternative. Of course it is in the afternoon!

Tonight I'm going to the drama club's halloween party and then tomorrow night I'm going to go get some free candy. ( Yes, I know I'm 19. And no, I don't believe only little kids should get free food. I'm all about sharing.)

Aw, coolness, chibi_chan! I want pictures! :3

I'll be raiding the neighborhood for candy, taking advantage of the fact that I look way younger than I actually am. ^__^ I think I'll be in my Draco Malfoy costume 'cause Orochimaru takes way too many layers.

This may be unnecessary, but I will remind everyone that an argument regarding celebration of Halloween would be closed.

One of my friends has a birthday on the same date, and if he does anything special I will most likely be a participant.

My father has serious personal issues with the date, and becomes fairly depressed as it approaches. Hence, in support of him I will join him in whatever he is doing for that night. Most likely a family event of some sort.

My family always watches 'The Ghost and Mr. Chicken' and has chocolate! Lots of chocolate!

At my college, we had pizza and cookies and watched 'Aliens.' That was a lot of fun (good movie!), although only four people stayed for the whole thing (including me). :)

I understand the controversy surrounding Christians and Halloween, and am sensitive, but my family has always celebrated it simply as a good excuse to have a party. *shrug*

Enjoy and be safe!

Trick-or-treat night hereabouts was Thursday, the 28th. I sat in a lawn chair out in the driveway (we don't do it at the front door as there are lots of steps leading up to it and it's a strain on the kids whose costumes give them a very narrow field of vision) and passed out candy. I had a CD player going next to the chair, playing 3 CDs: Jon Spencer Blues Explosion's "Plastic Fang", the Silent Hill 3 soundtrack, and Man or Astro-Man's "Experiment Zero". I also carved The Cheat into a pumpkin and sat it out in front. Tomorrow night some friends from church and I are gathering to watch our favorite halloween movie, "Killer Klowns from Outer Space", and then going bowling.
