I download anime online, so she can hear what I'm watching....but normally I watch the anime when shes gone so she can't object...and with the manga, well I only read Rounie Kenshin.

My Mom used to watch Gundam Wing with me when I started reall getting into anime around 14 15 years old. She didn't mind the mild cursing. She loved Princess Monemoke and Samurai X
Just resently my friend and I were watching Fushigi Yuugi together and my Dad just walked in from work and he heard Miake mention something about "having sex" and he's like. Is that a cartoon?!
But they can't really stop me from anything. I'm almost 19 now after all.

Ya, Viz Manga ratings are SO screwed it's not even funny. Always double check on those before U purchase.

My parents don't review any animes... mostly cause they think it's just a childish cartoon. A year or so ago, though, I was getting rather obsessed with anime... My parents, esp my mum, got rather concerned and confronted me about it. Since then, I have only really watched Gundam Wing. Strange how things work huh? My brother on the other hand watches it almost 24/7. I think the roles have reversed....

Ah yes. I fear they do, but in the long run, I am very glad for it. my mother is very leary of anime in general and really encouraged me to find a christian anime site, as I obviously did. I have seem some anime my mother does not know about, and I do not know if she would object to. I am very carful what I put into my own head, in other words, I won't go downloading any hantai or anthing like that.

my parents do not preview my anime, they will walk in sometimes and ill explain the story to them, and they will say "thats great" and leave me alone

My mom really doesn't restrict any titles because she doesn't know them, so she has me monitor what my little brothers and sister watch and read. And I get to be "cool sister". I do not allow anything with sex in it, cursing has to be minimal, no strong violence, ect.
The strongest title I'll allow is Inuyasha, and I read about anything new they watch before they watch it.
